Fanspo has it working for 2023-2024 with Porzingis at $36 million. Thats all I based it on.

 

All I read in here is about players the Lakers shouldn’t get and rarely about players they should get and how to get them

The Bubble Lakers as the years pass is going to go down as an absolute beast of a team (and the stupid * talk needs to be buried deeper and deeper)
Crushed a healthy jokic and Murray squad, easily beat a Miami team that has gotten the better of both the C Bags/Bucks.

Kuzma, KCP, and Caruso have gone on to have great careers and they were just a bunch of roleplayers on the Bubble team

 

the 2020 lakers never lost a game in which they went into the 4th quarter with a lead. it was something like 57-0 i think

that alone should put aside any doubt that they only won it all because of the bubble

 

To add, that team was DOMINANT. There were games where we came out of halftime and just stomped on the other team.

 

dlo's only an asset on a good contract. until then, he's not. also, his contract will extend beyond next year, whereas kp (if he opted in) could be shed next year if lebron walks.

i think the '29 pick is our most valuable asset right now. come february, we'll have reaves, rui, vando, etc. all as likely valuable trade pieces. we just don't have much this summer because nobody's under contract.

anyway, for a fanbase that can't handle AD's health, you'd be REALLY upset with porzingis. add in that his personal success never seems to track his teams' success, and it takes a lot for me to take him on.

the circumstance to which i'm referring was if it looked like we were going to lose dlo anyway (i.e., couldn't come to a contract agreement), i'd rather trade him for a 1-year kp rental than let him walk a la schroder.

re: beasley/bamba: in order to use their salaries in a trade along with the 17, i'm looking for serious value because of the cap ramifications. guessing the lakers would be, too, given how cheap we've been in big moments lately.

 

I don't understand the interest in Porzingis at all.



Not a great shooting percentage for a big. not a great 3 point shooter. Not a great rebounder. An average player should be average compensated. He's not worthy of 1/4 of your salary cap.



Just hasn't had the impact everyone hoped he would have.
