    Wow I've never seen an offseason as bad as this one. We've literally wiffed on every free agent we had our eyes on. Say what ever happened to those guys Scott said wanted to play for the Lakers? Right now that's starting to sound like a bunch of BS.

    Sure there is. Grab a few journeyman to fill out the team and call it good. Don't spend anywhere near the cap. No sense wasting money. Play the kids 30 minutes a night. They're right out of college. It takes time to build up strength to transition to the riggors of NBA life. And you treat the games as glorified scrimmage. The kids have skills that they need to work on. Let them do it with an audience. And if they have to run the same set ten times in a row before it clicks, so be it.

    How many here said simply going into the draft, "don't get cute". They got cute in thinking they could easily replace the potential franchise big man they passed on, in FA. Lots said that too up front.
