it did destroy his reputation and that's why he left GS after just 3 seasons. winning those 2 easy rings came at quite the cost. and now that he failed to win a ring in brooklyn, it's just added to the whole "KD can't lead a team to a title" argument
Right. They made the playoffs? 3 WCF appearances and one finals in 6 years with two other seasons missing one of their big 2 to season ending injury. That’s just making the playoffs is it? As for Harden, he wasn’t Harden before he left, he was a good 6th man that disappeared in the finals. And Ibaka was decent. Aside from Ibaka, they just couldn’t surround Russ and Durant with any real two way talent. They routinely played with a plodding center and a defensive specialist that couldn’t shoot. Like I said, they were the best or second best team 6 years in a row in the league. Put a better front office around then and an owner who wouldn’t skimp on the bill and they win multiple championships.
Im not sure you can be a top team in the league without having any talent, they should of won at least one ring in my opinion, sometimes the stars just don't align for you.
Who said they didn’t have talent? They had two future mvps in their prime, and a decent defensive team around them. If they had a 3&D wing alongside them instead of defensive specialists like thabo sefalosha and played small with Ibaka at C like golden state did a few years later, they probably win multiple rings. That’s just sports sometimes and the stars don’t align sometimes as you said.
lol derozan and pg really just spend all their time wishing they were lakers. it's hilarious. you both could have made it happen and are all sour about it now. kick rocks. hit some midrange jumpers over us in a regular season game and claim your trophy.
PG for sure, but I believe Derozan thought he was going to be a Laker and that it was basically a done deal, then he went on vacation and heard the Russ news and was shocked. If that deal had happened, I think a Caruso/Reaves/Derozan/LeBron/AD team could have been really good.
Playoffs P texting Austin Reaves , undrafted and 2nd year player and asking him how he's able to handle the pressure in the postseason right now
i don't see derozan and lebron working successfully together. and no way pop was going to trade him to LA anyways
How about this S***!! LOL. Heard it in the car awhile ago and had to look online. I imagine Laker Fans' blowback tweets are fun. Haven't checked yet. ^^^ well .... enough time maybe has not passed as there aren't a whole lot yet. …. and f*** Fox 11.
clippernation ? 5 people is not a nation why does every team starts calling their fan “ nation “ lakers nation is the only legit one ! But whatever
So who are the dumbest fans in the NBA? have a feeling it’s related to fans being willing to pay high prices for a mediocre product
