This. The name of the game is depth around your stars. Had we given in and gone all in for Kyrie we’d have lost Reaves and Christie. Who would have even played out the season? Kyrie, Schröder, Rui, LeBron, AD.. Brown, Bamba, Gabriel, Jones? That team doesn’t even make the play-in, just like Dallas didn’t. We don’t need to do anything drastic, we need to re-sign Reaves and Rui, maybe trade Beasley for someone else, maybe sign and trade DLo for a better fit. I’m looking forward to building with some of what we have here, not going the 3rd star route and gutting this again. If LeBron demands Kyrie, I give him a list of teams he’d be ok with being traded to and send him on his way and start the rebuild, I’m not setting my franchise back years for that guy.

Meh..Depth is great to have, but Denver just swept us and advanced to the Finals playing 6 guys, Green got a minute or two here and there. It totally depends on who your top 6 are.

How did we lose Reaves and Christie? But yeah...Russell and Beasley represent 47 million in salary, we could do a lot with that kind of money. Lebron will get his way, I just don’t see it being Kyrie now though. I would have absolutely made that move over the summer. We sucked for years before he got here IMO.

Reaves and Max were supposedly asked by the Nets for Kyrie

Not an option for us when your best player is 38 with 6 million miles on his legs and now misses time every season. Then your second best player also misses large chunks of each season. You need innings eaters for the regular season at the very least.

I think they're more likely to move him into the starting group and trade away Smart.

I don't think we need a pg we need a guard that can score reeves can prolly handle the ball duties next year if he works on his handle dribble in the off season rui can bring the ball up 2 we actually saw it vs Denver....... We do need a defensive GUARD tho maybe max/Harrison can help

Because their offense was better with Brogdan and Smart has tradeable value (elite D, culture setter) for them to find needs that exist elsewhere on the roster.

It's now official that every single reporter who covers the Lakers and reports on sourced material has assured us that Rui and Austin are locks to be back.

This one is from Buha today
