The guy can fit almost anywhere, he's a scorer at PG/SG. I wouldn't expect him to be the piece to get me a championship. I still think he's a better player than Jordan Poole for instance.

Yet every team in the NBA, isn't looking to compete for a Championship.

Hield played a lot of 3. Nembhard grew later in the year and will defo play all non-Hali minutes and some.
I understand you would like to get Turner but what's in it for them to lose their starting center and 2nd best player in the team who they re-sign 6 months ago to get a guard who will take minutes of their young prospects?

Indy will likely push this year to get into the playoffs, Hali is an all-star right now

Kuz would actually be perfect for them. Fits the timeline, could score a bunch there and form a nice pairing with Turner

They aren't going anywhere with Hield and Turner though. The Pacers won 12 out of there last 42 games, their aren't close to being contenders of any kind IMO. Not in the immediate future, they have a very young team, Hield is the oldest guy there at 30. They gave Turner a bump with a special exception they had, they were going to lose it, if they didn't use it. They still only gave him a 2 year extension at 20 mil per. He's going to be right back on the trading block next season.

I'm not devaluing what we are offering either , Russell is a legit talent as a PG/SG, he can play with their perimeter guys. They only have one PG, Haliburton. Marthurian is 6'6, he's a small forward, they were playing a 6'4 Buddy Hield out of position. They get a PG that can fill in for Haliburton and play with him. They get Bamba, a 7 ft that block shots and shoot the 3. They now have two draft picks in the top 20 to address other needs, and build young depth. It's a win win trade for both teams IMO. I think folks are overrating the Pacers talent, they really weren't that good at all with Haliburton They started out ok, the season is 82 games. Kuz ain't going to Indiana, not a hot spot...that matters to young guys like him too.

signing Kyrie will come at a price. Will it be too high? Will he be reliable? We already know he's highly intelligent since he knows the earth is flat and won't buy into mainstream narratives. He knows how to play with Lebron. He's a proven performer at the highest level.

He would smoke DLO one and one for value if both played equal games.

slick: turner's not coming here. he's probably not going anywhere unless indy is upgrading--they're certainly not going to move him for lesser talent. i and others have now tried to explain this many, many times. we could get turner for AD or mayyybe reaves (though i still think they'd want a comparable big back instead), and that's about it.

btw, if magic johnson was still our PBO, reaves (along with the two unprotected 1sts) would be in indy right now. i'm like 1000% sure of this.

you'd have to list teams that are weaker at pg and/or need scoring in the back court. orlando has money and qualifies, imo. but they've been rumored to be interested in fvv forever, i think.

so maybe: bulls, wiz, pels, nets, maybe jazz, and then two more, pending FA stuff...

philly (if they lose harden) and phx (if they're really trying to dump paul).

chi--probably straight up for derozan. i'd obviously try to get caruso, but they'd hang up, i think.
wiz--morris and daniel gafford interest me
    nets--dinwiddie and oneale
pels--no sensible trade for both teams
jazz--same, plus they could have just made a move with minny without involving us if they loved dlo

philly-s&t harden, but we'd be hardcapped, so i think not. then it's harris, which makes sense for neither team
phx-paul, and they have NO picks to move, so i'm not sure how they incentivize us to help them. maybe if they make a big deal that brings assets in for ayton, we could get one of those?

i don't think kyrie is happening, but it would take russell/vando/bamba and probably an unprotected 1st. dallas isn't going to just let him go for russell after giving up an unprotected first and their best 3 and d guy. so i don't want to meet their price, as we'd essentially be back to the deal i didn't want for kyrie in the first place.

Man I absolutely love the idea of getting Myles Turner, but you are grossly overrating him IMO. The Pacers are only paying that guy 20 million dollars. AD for Turner is totally ridiculous. TBH, I haven't seen anyone offer a 1st rd pick for him, in all the years that he's been on the trading block. He had the best season of his enitre career this season, and the Pacers were still terrible. I think some of you guys are pushing the Pacers, like they are a team on the rise or something....well no...they really are not. They have a lot of holes, and little depth. This isn't the East of a few years ago. Bamba is a 5, and they like Jackson and Smith.too..21 and 22 years old, both 6'10. I'm not buying the notion that they are holding Turner for a Kings ransom.

On Kyrie...I would substitute Beasley for Vanderbilt and take Wood while we are at it. It's about the same money wise, they can have the unprotected pick. But both teams ending up hard capped? IDK if that's realistic.

irving's salary plus the hard cap might mean no rui.

    remember the apron is 170.

lebron and AD alone make 94. if you add kyrie at 42, you're already at the cap and have less than 40 million to spend.

you're going to pay reaves 12 of that, then you have roster charges. if you match a competitive rui offer (assuming you even can), you're vet mins all the way down again. ick.

we're not doing incoming s&ts, imo.

One hell of a career. One of the only joys of last season was watching his master class as a shooter in purple and gold.

Since he didn't play anywhere after his stint here, technically he retired as a Laker.

he retired homeless because nobody wanted him. Not even a team that started 2-10 that needed scoring.

    and ummm, no pressure kid

Lakers can use another person that can attack the basket, can't depend on Lejump shot 3 point shooter james

I’m only interested in Kyrie at a massive discount. Sign and trade with DLo going out and nothing more. I know that’s not happening, so you can tell just how much I want him.

the last chance to get kyrie was at the deadline. he can only come via S&T now, and that restricts building the rest of the roster.
