Rui with 5 more months of Handy’s tutelage and past tips to work on under his belt …. wants in with those #3 options.

    :Magic Brows:

Not saying he makes it in …. but wants in. May even play a big role in whether or not he signs here in FA, salary offers being in same zip codes, as to whether he can start or not in their plans?

Pincus heard via his sources the Mavs and Kyrie likely already have a deal in place (please be true!)
And then there's a potential Ayton deal

The Mavs will totally be spinning in their wheels if they do this.

Ayton is a non-factor in the playoffs and not even better than Christian Wood.

So, it’s perfect then for our hopes of Luka getting frustrated and then asking out.

looking at the bright side, this offseason we'll be back in the market as an attractive destination for vet ring chasers.

D'Angelo and Malik have been a rather disappointing 47 million dollar investment IMO. I'm pretty sure that we can flip those contracts into something better.

Lebron, AD, Austin, Rui, Jarred, Lonnie, Max, Wenyen that's a sound 8. Maybe ..Bamba, Harrison, bring Stanley Johnson back, and that 47 million can be used, to set us up as a legit title favorite.

I know. You can't just let a 30 million dollar contract walk for nothing though.

Russell, Bamba and a FRP, for Turner and Hield, sounds like a great Idea to me now.

    0% Indy does that.

For starters, the last thing they need is a guard who needs to eat 32+ minutes. Haliburton, Mathurin, and Nembhard have them covered there.

They need to improve their starting F and they'll do the with their 7th pick with Walker, Whitmore or Hendricks.

If they're not content there, they'll go spending on a Kuz or Grant to shore up the spot with their cap space.

They're not going to take a match to it now and gift away Turner, not after the year he had. Ship sailed.

Sounds like In hindsight you’d do the Russ and 2 frps for Turner and Hield? Not sure what the arithmetic is on Dlo vs our other pick since we got vando and Beas.

I have no idea what Indiana actually wants..I do know that, they are one of the few teams in the NBA, that can absorb a S&T for D'Angelo. I don't think that they are as attached, to Hield and Turner as some people do either.

Indiana is exactly some kind of hot FA destination, theoretically they could be in play for FA, but a trade is more likely IMO. They could be the cap space as a 3rd team in a trade, anything is possible. I also think that D'Angelo could be a good fit, and play well with Haliburton.

He wouldn't be in competition with either of them. He's replacing Buddy Hield who avg 31 min a game, playing with those guys. D'Angelo is not a scrub but it's not going to work here. I think he'd thrive in Indiana, lower expectations, and he can play with either Haliburton or Marthurian.
