    Wonder if DLO is feeling any heat internally, even as he appears to genuinely like Austin and they’re golfing buddies ….. that Reaves may be out competing him in next contract value?

    His contract has nothing to do with HBK unless Jeannie scrimps on money again let’s go of one of them ala Caruso/THT

    I ‘m meaning if Reaves continues to be more consistent plus a better defender and can do much of what DLO can do helping run the team when the ball’s not in LeBron’s hand going forward, shooting 3s at a good % and other means of scoring, and with more upside to his future …. but isn’t likely going to get 25M per year in his coming contract ….. how does that reflect on his and his agent’s case for over 25M, let alone 30M?

    not only that, but if i'm lakers management, i might show dlo the playoff numbers and say, look, we literally can't pay reaves more than 4/100, so if you want more than that, explain this...

    edit: lol, LT beat me by 2 seconds.

    This is an interesting discussion. Is Reaves outplaying Dlo and if so, how does that affect each player’s salary numbers going forward? I personally think Reaves is much more consistent in effort and overall numbers than Dlo. Even if he has a bad shooting night, he still play’s defense and does the little things like taking charges, getting steals etc. If Dlo is not scoring, he seems to disappear for longer periods of time. Reaves has had some bad matchups for him defensively but that is on the coaching staff. You can’t expect a guy shorter and lighter to play lock down defense but he certainly tries as best as he can.

    I still would like to keep Dlo for salary or trade purposes, but the numbers on that contract will be key. We can’t be giving up assets to trade him down the road if he’s underperforming his contract.

    i may end up wrong, but i don't think anyone's coming with an offer far north of 25 per for russell. if so, i'd see if there was a way to work out a s&t with that team, like maybe we add a 2nd to sweeten it so that we have a huge TE which could be used to replace him*

    I don’t have a good read on how other GM’s view DLo. I’m sure being the #2 pick and playing on as many teams as he has, doesn’t help his stock. I can actually see him thinking he deserves more than he’s making now and pulling a “Dennis”. Not saying he’ll have to take the vet minimum, just that he might turn down a good offer and have to take something worse. Especially with the agent he has, if it’s still the one he had with the Lakers the first time.

    AR 3 point % has improved each round of the playoffs so far:

    Memphis = 34%
    GSW = 45%
    Denver = 55%

    At this rate, if we make the Finals he'll shoot somewhere around 65% from three. :Noddingyes:

    I am sorry AR that you have to play with such low IQ players. Please don't leave.

    unbelievable that an undrafted sophomore is our most consistent playoff performer.

    Not "can hit". Has been hitting them at an AMAZING clip, yet our "leader" chucks 6 of them with his 25%. I mean... he gives up 3 of those to AR and we win.

    Annoys the s*** out of me.

    I don't think he does, actually. So much so that I would give him the ball over Bron, Dennis and AD on ALL occasions. He is the one they should be benefitting from, but NBA is a macho BS league.

    DLo isn’t worth anything above $20 million per. He’s still pretty one dimensional and is very inconsistent.
