I would like Vando on Murray too but then that would leave Reaves on MPJ, he’s a bit too small for my liking there. I wouldn’t mind starting Reaves on Murray and then switching Vando onto him when Denver goes small.
i'm not paid the big bucks to make these choices, but i like forcing teams to their less-preferred options. to me, that means if denver wants their offense to work around iso-ing porter on reaves, i'm good. let's do that. he better be dirk nowitzki from midrange. so, i'd go vando on murray.
Sometime this series I hope we get to see: Vando on Murray Reaves on KCP Rui on MPJ Lebron on Gordon AD on Jokic Even if it’s just for spot minutes.
i'd worry a bit about kcp's ball pressure if reaves has to bring it up the floor. i also like we can hide our worst guard defenders (i.e., dlo, who's been ok there!) on kcp or bruce brown or christian braun in this series. we couldn't do that much against gs.
They need to find a replacement for Vando next year: Lakers need a 3 and D guy who can actually be a threat on offense. I like the dude but you have to able to do one good thing on offense and he doesn't have anything that defenses really worry about in the playoffs (can't shoot, bad hands so can't trust him on the slow roll, can't finish over the top of rim protectors, not an elite offensive rebounder)
There was absolutey nothing wrong with Vanderbilt tonight..at all. There is a lot to overlook before you can get to him
I thought he paid dividends early and I feel it was a mistake not to go back to him on Murray in the fourth when he was going off.
Shouldn't have taken him off Murray. Scoring wasn't how we controlled that game. Somebody has to play defense besides AD.
Offense get so mucked up with him on the floor. If you want Lebron to drive it's mich easier without Vando. This is reason he got benched against GS and his minutes will shrink against Denver as well.
So you dont have an actual explanation but it sounded good to say? What were the other 4 guys on the court doing then?
I'm not sure what game you just watched. Vanderbilt played 17 minutes, what sequence of events are you referring too? Be specific, not this general nonsense. He was on the court with 4 scorers specifically, where did he muck up the offense? Taking him out and having Lebron picking up Murray cost us the game.We don't need 5 scorers on the court at all times, that is not the problem
struggling on O cause theres always an extra man thats in their way as said defender doesnt have to defend Vando?
Again some more generic stuff huh? Did you notice the difference in the play of Murray once Vanderbilt got off him?
