i think howard's a decent bet, personally. i probably like murray more, but both project to be solid pros to me.

 

Definitely should translate as a 3 level scorer. I worry about his rebounding the most. He's not fast, so defensive mobility is also a question mark. But anyone who's 6-8 only getting 2.5 rebounds a game (career high of 7) either isn't trying or is scared of the paint. At that size you should be getting at least two by accident.

when i thought we might be drafting around 12 i was hopeful we'd get him; i don't think he slips. too many guys with similar profiles have been successful lately.

This is the guy I wouldn’t mind taking a look at. Came out of HS a year early, so he’s technically supposed to be a senior right now. 6’9, 215 with tons of upside. He’s projected to fall in the range we’ll draft at.

 

i hadn't seen anything about this guy until like yesterday, when i saw someone pushing for the mavs to draft him at #10. smooth athlete.

this draft is going to be weird. the mocks are all over the place all the way up to like, #4 overall. bunch of guys have a huge range right now.

he's super raw from what i've seen. i didn't see anyone else say this, but he looks a little like young amare stoudemire in his highlights. think amare was a little bigger, though.

anyway, he's a project, i think. we can afford to take those on given our current roster, however. i don't expect our pick to play much next year, assuming we keep it.

My target has been the best D&3 wing, but it we're going to either trade Beas or let him walk, taking the best shooter is probably my path because you can get an asset that on the open market cost $15m+ for 1/5th of that.
