UPDATE: Bulpett: C Bags pull out of Tobias Harris sweepstakes. http://www.celticsblog.com/2015/7/2...-C Bags-pull-out-of-tobias-harris-sweepstakes
So in an already strong west, the Suns got better and the Kings on their way. And our big savior for the summer is a 19 year old PG. So pissed at the managment for not taking Okafor and going all out on a SF. playing the fans like everything is under control. It really is sucks, because right now I can't see us reaching the playoffs, which 2 days ago looked to me like a sure thing.
We don't have that pick. We are gift-wrapping it next year. We have to make moves now. If we fail, it is time to change the way Lakers work to attract free agents. No one's job should be safe, period.
how about roy hibbert? indy is looking to move him only if we completely miss out on monroe, jordan, and lopez
Yeah, it's top 3 protected. I can't handle another year of the tank. I don't think it's possible we'll be that bad anyways. Oh well, reports are that next years draft is a wasteland outside of the top pick.
I keep repeating this for three years : We need to develop talents to have a decent chance to attract big FAs ... Once Randle and Russell ( and Clarkson to a lesser degree) start showing promises , we'll have a shot ... until then all stars won't come here . Huge pb is Lakers FO doesn't seem to understand it ...
The moment Cousins wants to leave the Kings I would trade Russel and fillers (not Clarkson or Randle) in a heartbeat.
How come? For the past 2 seasons they have been doing almost nothing else than getting young guys on the team while avoiding to commit to almost any older players long-term (Kobe being the SUGE exception). My impression was they are doing exactly what you said they should - getting and developing talents, as of late at least. Within 2 years we have added Russell, Clarkson, Kelly, Black, Russell and some other guys who all seem to have potential. I am pretty sure there were trade offers on the table, including some of those players and the Lakers resisted. If you mean the past - when we traded for Nash for example, I would agree the yout was not taken care of AT ALL. But those were also different circumstances - they wanted to build one last great team around Kobe before he's too old. It didn't work, but if my memory serves me well, most of fans were also extatic about the trade when it happened. We can argue if they could have found a better trade, and maybe not give so much up, but you can not always be right. Overall I have ben very happy with our FO lately... Even the lack of significant FA signings so far doesn't bother me as much as most in here (it's like we're in the Smush Parker era again), I trust in tchem getting some good to very good additions this summer.
It is, but we're not going to be that bad. There is no way to truly tank and develop the young guys at the same time, which is why we need to make some moves now.
Even with just Ed Davis and Ellington back, we'd win 30 games at least. We've improved in all positions, except for C.
So any news on Monroe on how the meeting went? Have we even contacted Harris? Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk
