'Mitch is not a pitch man. Byron is out of touch with Millennials. Jeannie is an emotional mess. Jimbo is the idiot son. No wonder they're not convincing anyone to sign.':rofl::rofl: From another forum...

I feel like a group of 5 from LB would do a better job recruiting...... just stop and go after more reasonable players, PLEASE!

:D This is a sad, sad day for Lakers fans. We can't impress one way players that are suddenly max contract stars like DJ. And yeah, lol, we might have to end up paying Jordan Hill more money than what we already had him for to even field a complete team this season.

I say give them what they want - burn it to the ground. Go all in with our youth and cheap filler and win 35 games.

Is it time to change the thread title to "pray for Upshaw to pan out"?

It's over. This offseason hasn't been a complete failure because we got to keep our pick, but in terms of free agency, we failed hardcore.

    We must really suck...

Lakers FO needs to hire one of us. Hire the entire LB team. Bust out charts, research, analysis, whatever because what they are doing clearly sucks. How in the world can the Mavs look impressive and not us? This is soooo frustrating.

I'd be very very happy with a Harris+Biyombo summer.

Byron: Yo Deangel-, uh, I mean Deandre, here we play SMASHMOUTH. As in, mouths are smashed. Work hard, sweat hard, blood and tears, showtime, no three pointers. Iso iso iso, oh and you probably won't see the ball at all on offense. You in?

    Deandre: Uh...*backs away slowly*

Yeah, Lakers need to start picking up some talent. Next year the estimate is 20-24 teams will have the ability to offer a max contract. Everyone will be able to pay for a max player.

We need talent to be able to compete and have tradeable assets. Rockets got Harden because they had pieces to trade. Nobody wants Swaggy, Wesley Johnson or Ryan Kelly. We need legitimate NBA players, not one year contract dudes that should be in the D league.

Lakers front office can't get it done with the top level free agents but mid level ones will take the money if it is right. I say two solid dudes at 12-15 mil a year and next year when Kobes off the books we will have enough for two more max contracts with the higher NBA cap space.

The reality is though, I'm not that upset about us missing out. I'm upset at the fact that none of our meetings seem to be worth a crap.
