If he comes cheap yes but i wouldnt pay him big money He plays like 40 games a year and lets face it if we get wade were not improving THAT much. Are free agents really gonna come here to play with wade and our rookies next year?
Dibs were likely being brokered after the Aldridge story. They probably have it in draft form prior to it.
It might be 9pdt i just remember it was gonna be at night so im pretty sure it hasnt started yet Im sure we'll hear aboit it on twitter
I'm all in on getting Wade for the reasons you stated. But I can't see him leaving Miami..... Dragic / Chalmers Wade Deng / Winslow Bosh /Mcbobs Whiteside / Anderson Healthy = #2 seed in the East easy
Like Clarkson and Black? Not sure if being literal. Edit. You probably mean of the free agents. Would take Davis back and Ellington. Maybe Jabari Brown.
@Doc Brown can only hope they can't get close enough on the dollar amount, which is unlikely considering Dragic asked what he needed to do financially to ensure Wade's return. Still, until the ink dries, it's a slim chance...more than we have with a lot of other names with clout.
please for the love of god keep kobe and jim out of these meetings just let mitch and jeanie handle them
Yea i mean the free agents. Only one i'd consider is ed davis because we need a center but im over wes johnson and jordan hill. I liked when j hill played in the post and defended and rebounded, the past 2 years he turned into a shooter and thats not his game when he went away from that it turned me off. Ellington was fine but if theres anyone better i'd take them
yeah, spend 27+ million on carroll and Matthews when you have derozan and ross in the fold? I know they're not crazy about ross, but still... and no way I get into a bidding war for a guy coming off an Achilles injury. that's nutty.
This is exactly why my head nearly exploded when we didn't draft Okafor. When you get a chance to draft a big, you do it. A core of Clarkston/Randle/Okafor is more enticing to KD than Clarkston/Randle/Russell in 2016. We swung for the fences and struck out yet again. Sometimes it's OK to hit some singles and doubles instead.
I like everyone am totally bummed by how this is playing out. I'm trying to stay positive and intend to until I see how the final product on the court does. We now got to figure how to fill the roster. Should they spend cap space just because they have it? Or better in my opinion just say F it, go cheap again, 1 yr deals for fillers and see what ya got with the young guys. Signing guys like Hill and Davis to 3-4 yr deals seems idiotic to me. We know what/ who they are. Serviceable but no way you do anything in the playoffs with them. Scraping the bottom of the barrel. Then again who knows how day two goes...
