It's easy to say that players shouldn't retaliate, but it's hard when the NBA is rewarding instigators. Like, I don't want our guys retaliating and getting ejected - but I also don't want the other team goading them and instigating things and trying to escalate. And right now the NBA is encouraging that.

 

I love me some Myles Turner as AD's running mate. I would love to see that happening regardless of how this playoff run goes.

 

I like Murray too..I'd consider Young for D'Angelo and Malik though. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be enough for Atlanta tho.

 

Murray and Turner? Give me that..well...as long as we keep Austin, Rui and Jarred..run that all day Rob!!

 

the atl guy's point was rhetorical, imo--there's no path to trae without giving up lebron or AD, and i'm great with that. the question is whether the atl fan should be excited or depressed. i'd take the last two or three years of lebron or AD over the next ten of trae, without question. enjoy it, hawks.

who says hield and turner don't s*** the bed in the playoffs. and i'll keep repeating-the pick we gave up is top-4 protected (meaning: no generational star is lost) AND immediately converts (meaning our assets aren't frozen for years).

it's just such a no-brainer. it was a gamble that could have blown up in our face, but we're in much better position. it's just...not really worth debating, imo. that's why the original tweet had to throw in the (gigantic) caveat.

disagree because of the above. again, how have hield and turner faired in the playoffs? we just extrapolate their regular season performance? if we did that for dlo, he's a max guy! can you play hield any more than you can play beasley? i think it's weird that people would guess they know those answers for certain and would mortgage literally a decade for it. hield and turner are, in the end, run of the mill players. good, but not great. like the ones we got at lower cost.

sorry, i meant the only way to get murray and turner and keep reaves, rui, and vando would mean you're losing lebron/AD.

but yeah, if lebron were to leave, and you could keep AD and get murray and turner, that's not bad.

I still don't see a fit of Turner with Ham's system. Ham seems unwilling to adapt


Watching these Knicks, I see them sending Randle and Barrett with picks for KAT, and then Fournier and pick for Hield.
Brunson, Hield, Hart, KAT, Robinson with Quickley and Grimes leading the bench it's a pretty tough team

 

Also it's being rumored might be out for the rest of playoffs

If I'm Mark Cuban, I'm calling about PG. Kyrie + how many picks gets George in a Mavs uniform? Cause that's what they should be putting next to Luka. Clippers will be tempted to blow it up and I don't think Balmer wants to do a full on rebuild.

 

Sadly they need stars for that new stadium can't blow it up yet

 

I don't think they'll turn into a rebuilding team, but I do think they have to blow up this version and this pairing.

If they get picks in a PG deal, they can lump those with their slew of mid sized contracts to cobble together a deal for Beal. With the front office shake up, he's primed for moving.
