There's not many other courses of action at this point, right?

I dont see anything wrong with that

He doesnt need to be babied. He's a #2 pick he should be able to contribute right away

He doesnt need to be a star his first season he just needs to play his game and soak everything up and get better every season

Well, the only silver lining I can find is that if we strike out on the rest of the FA's or miss them (whatever you want to call it) and we roll out the season with Russell, Clarkson, Kobe, Randle, Black, Sacre, Young, Wes, Kelly and a few other guys we should have a pretty good chance to keep our pick next year.

The point though is that Harris counts as a win. Monroe counts as a win too. That way our DIRECTION is a youth movement that the fans can get behind... Otherwise we're just spinning our wheels here and not going anywhere.

Great points! I think we are on the same page, I had gotten the impression through your comments that you could care less because alot of the guys we are looking at want easy rings and that they aren't Kobe.

Really it seemed like you were the posting embodiment of how a lot of people are viewing the FO (and Byron), too old school for the times. Part of it, like many on here, is me being frustrated watching our once (and hoping again soon) pristine franchise being played by (rather than playing) players and other FOs.

So, no hard feelings, thanks for being a sport debating with me!

Im against signing anyone that was on the team last year becauae we end up with the same team that won 21 games

    Changes are needed

Harris and a Center I call a win this offseason and have been saying that for some time. I don't feel the same way about Monroe at all. But I guess beggars can't really be choosers at this point.

I like Monroe more than most, but I'd prefer Harris too... The problem is he's restricted. Monroe is an UFA and we can just sign him.

Agreed I'm just of the old-school mentality of earn your PT but let's be honest, no one on this roster should be getting PT ahead of Russell.

No not at all i guess we probably misinterpreted what we were saying at first

Glad were on the same page.

I think we all want the same thing in the end, for our team to get back to their winning ways
