The bad losses we’ve had this year whether due to our own play, the refs, etc are going to ultimately keep us in the play in.

Assuming we win our play-in, I'm supposed to be less worried about the overall health of AD and Lebron, because playoffs have more days off, but I'm still really worried about those guys. Lebron has been really bad lately. (For him.) AD might just be coasting and tryna take it easy, I don't know. But yea, I confess I'm worried.

I keep telling myself the playoffs are all gravy this year and just enjoy the ride and look forward to next year's juggernaut of a team, but I really do want us to go to the WCF at least.

i'd be worried...if i expected anything. we're going to finish over .500 and likely in the playoffs after a perfect s***storm for 50 games. it's amazing. let's just hope lebron and AD can have healthy offseason, and we come back next year with a squad that's basically on even footing with anyone in the conference. this season was done when russell westbrook suited up in october.

Lebron has been solid on offense, some ups and downs but still very good. His defense is not what it needs to be. The other guys need to know this and make up for it. Period.

    My WMC?

Hoping that LeBron actually cares on defense in the playoffs because he's been so bad lately that it's actually better if he sits out the game if that's going to be his effort.

Another WMC - not getting AD enough touches or not running enough plays for him.

Basically my WMC is our two stars not looking dominant down the stretch but I'm also hoping they're just coasting a little tryna save themselves for the playoffs...but problem is we don't have that luxury yet as were still only in the play-in and ONE game can go wrong if these guys aren't ON.

Pathetic defensive performance tonight by everyone not named AD.
Troy Brown Jr’s kicks were just awful.

It was awful when you compare it to the fact that the Warriors destroyed the third stringers of Portland by 48 points.

It’s LeBron ball again. Unless he was just wanting to get the 3 ball working again. I think it’s LeBron ball again. Long dribbling sequences and then chuck. Versus the nicer movement of the ball, players cutting more and multiple players pushing toward 20 points.

I'm disappointed that lebron hasn't come out in the press and suggest he come off the bench for the good of the team

we were playing really well without him, and we could use a ball handler on the bench

concerned that we stopped playing defense basically right when lebron got back. that was once again becoming our calling card.

Our defense was locked in at Sota in the 2nd half.

I wouldn't read too much in games played against B-C teams .

Lakers just wanted to be done with these regular season games because of their physical and mental fatigue .

Not an easy season in both aspects to say the least .

Teams usually follow their leaders. Instead of watching how LeBron plays at that end, they should focus and imitate AD’s defensive intensity.

You don’t honestly believe this would ever happen with a narcissist?
Well, if he did, he could claim that he is “The LeBron James of Sixth Men.”

If you really think about it we have this team for the year we are a 55+ win team or 50 we ended at 43 this year there was multiple games we lost by 4 or 5 that we had won Boston/Philly/ that's just 2 from the top of my head

The guard defense is a concern. Only Schroeder is a good POA defender and his size makes him vulnerable to switches.

DLo isn't as bad as I thought but he's still below average in ball. He's not a half bad team defender which is a surprise but on ball still a lot of work.

Reaves tries but his athletic deficit stick out. Certain team like the Clips and Boston have targeted him successfully.

    Beasley is awful.

    Brown seems to has regressed.

Christie should definitely help next year but this is going to have to be a priority to find another guard who can shoot and play defense

Yeah I didn't LIKE how we ended the season but at the same time...we did A LOT to get ourselves in this position and I think we saw the fatigue in these last few games against B/C squads.

I'm willing to give them a pass so long as we come out guns blazing against the Twolves tomorrow and we don't let them think they have a shot (especially because they're short handed without McDaniels/Gobert/Reid).

If we come out FLAT again...I'll be worried that we'll be a quick out against the Grizzlies in the 1st round.

Also another pre-emptive WMC - it would be the most LAKER thing for us to get beaten on our home floor tomorrow and then enter a do or die situation against Pels/OKC. We've been on the edge basically this entire year...I just hope we've put that behind us and we just take care of business so we can have 4-5 days OFF before our potential game on Sunday vs Grizzlies.

Also LAST WMC for me - IF we do proceed to 7th seed and play the Grizzlies...I hate that the Grizzlies are the one WC team that is literally located on the EAST coast so traveling there is going to be annoying for our somewhat older team vs the Grizzlies.
