I suppose my message could have come across more harshly than intended. I meant I don’t really care whether we’re 6th or 10th. I have faith we’re gonna get it done either way. But yes this is the place to discuss the convoluted standings potential.

Ok. Report from Utah, no shenanigans from Danny. Although…Jazz did win last night. Bron and AD will really be coasting today, and I don’t expect them to play in the 4th.

Now, will the Clips really win in Phx just to face the Suns in the first round? Westbrook v CP3 and KD?? KD v Kawaii? Booker v George?

I just don’t see Balmer and Lue winning today to go out in the first round. But then I also question whether they would purposefully fall to 7 to face the Lakers in the play in.

I will be sick in Ws win, get 5, and Minny is winning so Clips then tank to get 6 in the last few minutes. 6 pm EST today will be fascinating.

It sucks that those handful of painful losses due to missed fts, ref robbery, and resting players ended up having this much weight in the standings. Literally one more win drastically changes everything.

With that said, where we are now is very encouraging considering the pre-deadline season.

If we end 43-39 after starting 2-10...and we get 6th or 7th or even 8th...it's still a REMARKABLE accomplishment considering we were LITERALLY dead in the water like 2/3 through the season. I think we were literally stuck at 13th seed for like 4 months and we only started moving up in March.

What a wild ride this season was man...still cannot believe we will at the very least be in the play-in and give ourselves a shot at being in the playoffs after all the BS we had to deal with this year. Yes, we could have had a lot of wins this year but in spite of that, we never gave up and we kept fighting and we will be rewarded. I mean we were trying to go for FIFTH seed at one point this apst week...and if it wasn't for the BS scheduling that we got, I think we actually coulda done it.

lI'd be ecxstatic with 6th, but ultimately I'm fine with us finishing 7th or 8th. This team is basically as good on the road as they are at home so it is what it is.

Agreed Fab. At the trade deadline, I was optimistic, but realistically thought our best case scenario would be getting to .500 & sneaking in the Play In as a 10 seed. Sitting here on the last day of the Season with the 7th seed in our control is truly a remarkable turnaround..!!

Yup I was very happy with the deadline moves but I also thought the moves were just too late, and we would probably at best make the play-in as 9th/10th seed.

Then when LeBron went down, I thought our chances were even slimmer.

Then D-Lo missed a bunch of games, I'm thinking there's just no way we can win.

I think having all these guys MISS games is what makes this run even more impressive. It shows that we have a deep team for once and even IF we have injuries next year, I think we have a good enough team to withstand the injuries. I used to hate watching other WC teams still find ways to win even when their best players went down...and now, our team is in that same category.

No matter what everyone else does regarding their games, I would like to see ZERO coasting from our guys today. This team doesn’t have “the switch” and needs to realize it. Now, if we had this squad all season long and were sitting in one of the top three spots, then I would have a different opinion regarding this.

Yes, we currently have a better than awful, and better than average roster now. I hope we can bring back as many guys as possible this summer.

There's every reason to bring this same team back. If we win today, we'll be 18-8 with this roster, which would be on pace for 57 wins - which woulda been best in the west this year.

Bringing back this same team next year, I'd expect us to be a top 3 team in the west next year.

We will need some help from the other teams to not out price Rui, Dennis, and Lonnie. I have varying degrees of like for all three, but I’ll be really upset if we can’t keep Rui. He’s still so young and already has shown that he can ratchet up his defensive intensity.

Soooo the Clippers might actually f*** this up. They’re down 10 to the Suns near the end of the 3rd quarter. Would push the Pelicans up to the 5 seed which is an absolute joke. We’d get the Clippers in the play-in.

Agreed Rui needs to be back. I think I’d like Dennis back too, DLo misses a lot of games and he’s good at stepping up in those short handed games. Lonnie is more of a luxury, I’m okay if he moves on.

It would be funny if they lose to us or Kawhi gets hurt in the process.
