Ham is just really bad at his job, or he just doesn’t like Austin on a personal level. It makes zero sense to me. The kid is the fourth best player we have and passes, defends, shoots, and draws fouls better than most at his pay grade
caruso was an unrestricted FA. and we totally got that wrong. if anything, we'll overpay reaves. nobody's getting him; the media just knows people read laker articles.
I have been thinking this for awhile now. Austin should be playing 35 a night. He would just keep getting better and conditioning would build more with playing time. Ham's stubbornness or worse keeps costing us games. I'm not seeing good basketball instincts most coaches have. Maybe it is coming.
I'm ok with Ham limiting AR to about 30 minutes a game. He's coming back from a hamstring injury and the last thing I want to see is him going down before the playin/playoffs. He's been consistently our 3rd best player for two years running. When he was out we really struggled.
AR plays a very physical style and gets physically beat up every game on offense and defense. That's tiring. Last year he ran out of gas, his conditioning has certainly improved but I'm not sure he's leaped to it not being something to monitor or worry about at all. If Vando is looked at as someone who you want to keep his minutes in the mid 20s so he can play his style and his efficiency can be optimized, I'm not sure why we look at AR that differently right now.
We should build around AR. I am not even sure I am kidding. Yes, he missed a couple FTs as well, but otherwise made a lot of smart, winning plays. I am sorry AR that you get to play with a brainless mental midget. You will have your match on the Bulls soon enough.
Yeah, I watch a lot of Trevor’s stuff, but this one is just so obvious that it’s not even worth time discussing.
On the real though, whenever polls are done asking people about how fulfilled they are with their partner, married couples who have been together for many years always are at the top, and it’s not even close.
