If they practiced and facing us, I'm assuming they're going to play.

Basically this DJ scene. Every time.

Raptors won, so OKC stays tied with us at 34-36, no real damage done from the Houston loss, just no ground gained. I think someone already said it, but we need to be aiming for top 8 so we only get 1 play-in game, I don’t think 6th seed is happening.

Really need to beat OKC next week, both for the win, and to keep the tiebreaker over them.

Wow we caught a HUGE break tonight with OKC losing...basically erased our horrible loss yesterday.

We absolutely have to win tomorrow's game against DAL especially with Luka sitting.

If we lose tomorrow...we're probably looking at 9th or 10th at best.

We have DAL, OKC and @MIN...all 3 need to be wins if we want the 7th or 8th seed.

Agreed with others....the 6th seed ain't happening at this point unless one of GS, PHX or LAC completely collapses.

Anyone else with me here? I’ve heard/seen multiple posters say our remaining schedule to end the season is “easy” or “gets easier”.

However, when I look, I firmly believe the opposite is true.

Yeah no Luka tonight, but dal isn’t a lock by any means… suns 2 more times. Bulls twice. Thunder, wolves, and rockets again, all of whom beat us….clippers who we haven’t beat since LeBron joined the team and jazz twice…. How is that an easy schedule?

In order to make the final 10 spots, IMHO, we probably have to win around 8 of these next 12 games at minimum.

it's not easy, but we don't have many more games that you would all likely losses (e.g., @boston, @milwaukee, etc.). i have the clippers and suns games as likely losses, and every other game we could win if we play well, imo. we won't, obviously, but we *could*.

also, most of our competitors have similar or more difficult schedules. i think we'll be switching around from 9-11 until the end of the season, tbh.

I think losing to the Wolves and Rockets cooked our chances for anything higher that 9, it made it mighty difficult to crack top 8 with all the head to head match up.

still think i gave up real hope on this season when we dropped those games against NO and okc in the same week a while back. i realize that was pre-trade, but they were just killers at the time. but i guess there's like, 12 different games you can point to, which is why we're tied for 9th/11th right now.

but i just think it was unrealistic to expect us to win like, 75% of our games, most of which without lebron, 1/3 of which without russell, etc. and that's what it would take to get into 6th.

I think a lot of that was based on the strength of schedule that came out. I believe we had an easier strength of schedule than the other teams in the hunt for the last spot.

That said, we've still got to show up for every game and get it done.

Well, if there's a must win game for us, it would be the one tonight. Hopefully we'll be firing on all cylinders right from the start.

Huge day for the Lakers' playoff chances.

If things pan out as 538 is suggesting...

    Hawks beat the Warriors.
    Bulls beat the Wolves.
    Lakers beat the Mavs.
    Pelicans beat the Rockets.

    6. Warriors 36-35
    7. Wolves 35-36
    7. Lakers 35-36
    7. Mavs 35-36
    10. Pelicans 34-36

I think the Lakers would be on the bottom of those tiebreakers, but being in a virtual tie is better than being behind more teams.

Listened to the Stein/Haynes pod. Haynes said if the Blazers aren't securely in the play-in mix in 5-6 games, expect them to shut down Dame. I think if a few of these teams drop down more, we'll see some of that for the final handful of games.

Maybe the Jazz with Markkanen, JC, and Sexton. By the end of this month, they should be out of it (6 of their remaining out this month should be Losses--Cs, Kings, Bucks, Kings, Suns, Cs).

Also on tonight's game, THJ is playing

I feel like every scrub and all these injured players suddenly healthy are auditioning for the Lakers, it’s really irritating, and when we sign them they will suck lol. Anyway look for Kyrie to obliterate us for 50 with all the moving on from chasing him this summer.

Maybe the Magic will catch them sleeping.

    also...

This could be significant. Hope he's OK. Looks to be in too much pain for it to be minor.

I hate this for him. He's probably my favorite player in the league. He can be so, so special.
