Thinking about this more - this may not be an issue next year. If Christie 3 point shooting is consistent with what he's been able to do since the Lakers have worked on his mechanics - he's almost the perfect addition to the team. No he isn't another movement shooter but a more consistent Troy Brown with AD/Lebron/Dlo/reaves/Schroeder/Vando/Brown/Rui is a hell of a lineup
this is why i want to keep beasley despite his lackluster performance so far. there's just not a lot of guys with that skillset. we were trying to play ryan and swider early in the year, for christ's sake! i was one of the first on the christie bandwagon, though. he may be ready for regular minutes next year.
And is it just my own selective memory, or does BI do a good impression of KD at his "scoring machine" best every time he plays us?
If AD is not playing B2Bs and Bamba is hurt and you have open roster sport, why don't they take a flyer on a 10 day contract on a center? Not calling Huff seems to be a clear mistake when they had the chance
My WMC: seeing the Lakers in their regal, gold uniforms reminded me how much I’ve come to hate all these alternate jerseys. Obviously the Black Mambas are perfect and canonical now. But all the rest of them need to be fired into the sun. I want to go back to gold home, purple road, with Black Mambas for select marquee games. End of list.
rockets game all comes down to if they are able to limit sengun. without AD, i'm not so sure about it. gabriel needs to step up. and i also have no idea why they haven't brought in another big man either. pelinka's hatred for guys over 6'2 is puzzling
we're in the weird position of hoping that the tanking team overlooks us, tbh. minus lebron, AD, and bamba, one could argue houston's throwing more talent on the floor than we are, and they are at home and with more continuity. the bookies have us as 3.5 point favorites, though, so maybe i'm wrong. but i mean, they just beat boston at home.
they've definitely got some young talent. sengun, martin jr, smith, porter, green without AD, i wouldn't be so confident in a win
We are not really serious in getting into the top 8, we preserve AD to play in the play in. Which is stupid.
Yeah if we miss the play-in or a guaranteed playoff spot by one game, this game may end up erasing any good will that the front office earned with me Just absolute incompetence/arrogance/cheapness to think you can beat ANY team without an actual center
