Lets sign biyombo caron butler and aaron brooks Russ Kobe Butler Randle Biyombo Brooks Clarkson Brown Nance Upshaw We get a rim defender a backup pg and caron butler lets clarkson come off the bench Screw the stars Steve Kerr won as a rookie coach and we'll win with rookie players
Russell/Clarkson Kobe/Brown Harris/Young/Brown Randle/Kelly Lopez/Black/Sacre Not going to win much, but they'll be fun and exciting to watch.
Tobias Harris and Robin Lopez would be better than just lamarcus or deandre. Lakers aren't struggling offensively in games, it's defense, robin and tobias (learning from b scott) bring potential great defense, youth, growing and balance to our core 3.
Harris + Biz. Come on, convince someone to come to LA and develop this young talent we have. My projection for tomorrow: DJ signs with the Mavs. Draymond gets matched by the Warriors. That one is too obvious.
That group won't know any better...they will play hard...and could surprise some opponents. I would rather not see 24's last [?] season as a drudgery.
Another Free Agency period, another year sitting on our thumbs while guys sign left and right. Is sitting on our thumbs going to pay off this year or am I going to have to talk myself into the potential that Robert Sacre has again?
Someone has to want our money right? Frankly I think we're getting outplayed by other FOs right now. Phoenix just went with a great sneak attack. Even if they don't get Aldridge, Tyson was a good add.
They are going to be exciting for a while. But losing stops being fun quickly. I think I can wait two years for the team to fully gel, but most fans are getting antsy right now. This is a tough situation to be in.
What's going on with Brook Lopez? I know he's extremely injury prone, but he's a better scorer than Monroe and does a decent job protecting the rim.
We have no one in the age group of the free agents. Kobe is on like half a leg at this point. Everyone else could be in college. For someone who is 27-30, they don't have time to wait for 4 years until they are out of their prime and they don't have anyone to help them. And because the FO was r******* enough to sign a 36 year old coming off achilles surgery to the richest contract in the league, we can't provide any of these guys with someone their age to go to war with. I railed against that contract quite a bit over at CL, and everyone said it wasn't a big deal. How is the "we take care of our players" pitch working out for us? Kobe's contract kept us from getting 2 guys last offseason. It kept us from getting two guys this offseason. Imagine if we could have gone to Aldridge and DeAndre and said, "max deals for you both." Let's do this. We still could have given Kobe like 12 million a year and had enough to do that. I'll be honest, I'm not too mad about this offseason's apparent strike out. The new CBA was designed to bring down specifically the Lakers. I have been coming to terms with the fact that we will not be the Lakers as we have all grown accustomed to probably ever again simply because the inherent advantages we had are evaporating due to the new CBA and the shrinking of our world due to technology. We are going to have to build our contenders the same way everyone else does. Suck for a bit, get good picks, pick good players and then let them grow and take their lumps.
At the 4. If I remember correctly, the defensive metrics have him adequate at the 4, but he is awful at the 3.
