we just won a game against a decent team with these team stats

This indicates decent defense was happening to me.

wonder where we find this info, I'd be curious about that too.

We still give up a lot of points, but the whole league does too

This was on old school game. Memphis was a b**** on defense too. Getting Brooks make them a very good defensive team just like last year with morant out.

I’m confused on the Schroeder defense part…

4 made shots for 5 points?

I credit Ham for the revival of the stingy defense as much as I blame him for his catastrophic 3 to 4 guards line up.

That's how good his defense is. They hit 4 shots, but those shots are worth only 5 points. Basically, 2 shots count for 4 points, and one of them resulted in a free throw (converted). The other two Dennis just erased, like this:

With the pre-deadline team, If you told me that OG and Barnes combined for over 60 and AD only had 8, I'd bet money we lost by 30+

    Look at this depth

Holy s*** what a fun game to watch.

A bunch of small guys going against the team of mini-Lebrons in TO - look outmatched physically but sliced and diced them anyway.
If you're looking for a missing piece it would be a bullying PF and guess what they have a guy name Lebron waiting. If he gets anywhere close to full health ....

Yes it was the most fun game I've seen in a while. We finally have a team that's fun to watch and root for. Laker basketball is back!

No.1 defense in the league with a deep and potent bench. Is this a dream?

It’s funny how a team changes when you swap the small guys who either don’t care or aren’t good at defense with taller guys who do.

If I missed the game (thank gawd I didn't) and someone only told me both AD and Van Vleet had 8 points each, I'd guess we lost by 20 and...maybe, somehow FVV and AD got into a shoving match and both got tossed late in the 1st Q, but that's not even close to what happened.

We got down 15 early, came back, went up by 10 - all this in the 1st half - in the 3rd went down by 12, caught 'em and were up by 12 before winning by 10.

And I thought our suddenly GREAT D was a tad lax this game. I've never seen a series of moves around the trade deadline make such a dramatic difference in a team, and I've been a fan since the last Ice Age.

Removing Russ alone was a huge plus for us. But all those guys we added (I'm hoping you'll contribute later, Mo)? Astonishing how well it fits.

We. Play. DEFENSE again! As D-Lo said after the game: "the sky's the limit." After watching this game, I believe it. We beat Julius and the Knicks on Sun and we've reached what now qualifies as the Promised Land for the Lakers: .500, which we haven't seen since last year when we were 24-24 at one point, before the onset of true dark dismality hit us. Feels like it's been 8 years, not 14 months or whatever.

Have early rises and long days started the day of this game and this coming week, so after catching up with a late dinner and a beer I settled in to watch this game on late time shift and got part way through the first quarter. Next thing I know it’s the post game show. :swear: Will definitely have to watch when I can but did see a lot of the highlights. Holy crap what FUN!! I did see one thing though ….. there’s a bromance on fire brewing on the court with the chemistry and fun Russell and Reaves have playing with each other. And Schroder continues his outstanding play!
