To be fair, I didn't hear anything saying that the Lakers even met with Chandler. There's still Robin Lopez. And at this point, Ed Davis is sounding like a really good plan
Well, we have to use our money. We need a center. We need another swingman. There is needs and we can't come up completely dry...
Tonight I think. It would be great if Jordan goes to Dallas now that Chandler is with Phoenix. I want someone else to feel some pain.
Meeting with DJ for us is tonight for dinner. I see the race between Dallas and the LAC as real as ever now. I suspect he goes back to the Clippers for max.
I hope I hear DJ signing with Dallas today... that way I won't have to hear that we struck out with him tomorrow.
At this point just sign someone for a 1 year deal and go all in for next year. Hopefully the kids grow and can be attractive pieces for FAs to come
Boston using their cap finally on Johnson and Jerebko. Maybe a little more room for us to edge in on Harris?
It would have been nice to get DJ or LMA but what you wrote is what I would have considered a solid offseason even a week ago.
In my disappointment I almost want to try to trade Russell for Okafor and sign Wade, and I'm hard on the Russell train.
It seems to me and others here that like when we lost Dwight, perhaps his mind was already made up. I take it you can't talk with these guys prior to the opening gong for free agency. In theory, right? But SA is just one move after another wheeling and dealing INCLUDING trading Splitter. With Timmy freaking 40 soon. Would they do all that just in the "hopes" for LA? With no prior conversations? Did LeBron really just get fixed (pun intended) by a week or 10 days in the sun and some miraculous trainer exercises while he was there hiding from the cold in Cleveland. Neither scenario seems logical whether against the rules or not.
