We've got a chance. Retooled lineup is excellent. If we go with the three starters from last game along with Lebron and AD that's a big plus because they have chemistry all playing together in Minny for a couple seasons. That'll help us gell quicker. Also leaves us with a great bench of Schroder, Reaves/Walker, Brown, Hachimura/Gabriel and Bamba. That's a terrific 12 player roster with some nice complementary pieces all around and a lot of possible combinations to play to our strengths. We've got some size and length and we've got a pretty full roster of guys who can flat out play basketball. We've got some defenders, we've got lots of offensive fire power, we've got some glue and some hustle guys. I like it.

I think we have to win 13 of the 23 remaining games, minimum to get to the playin. Really I'd like to get 15 to give us more insurance. That's winning at a .650 pace the rest of the way. I think we can do it. Puts us just over .500 on the year. Not sure it gets us to 6th place - I'm doubtful that's going to happen realistically, but they have to shoot for that.

Let's just hope we don't lose tonight!!! That would be a major thud!

We should be able to win 15 games. The playoffs for us start tonight. We have to go through the playoffs to get to the playoffs. Should be exciting. We will score a lot of points but it will be the defensive intensity that gets us there.

This is what we got to do.

Getting a blowout win on a night where Bron makes 5 shots, AD takes 5 shots, and our 3rd best player only plays 9 minutes because of an injury. It's a beautiful thing. Before the trades, we lose a game like this by 15.

Also Bron and AD each only logged 26 minutes. The more of these they can bank, the better. We have to treat every game with a playoff sense of urgency and that's exhausting, so only having to play our big two half the game, that's huge.

All true JSM, but the biggest difference is 0 minutes from Russell Westbrook.

Our pre-trade roster loses this game vs Golden State.

6 TOs in the 1st 9 mins, D-Lo with a freak injury in the 1st Q, Lebron 5 for 20; AD 3 for only effing 5...and we blow out GSW.

I saw a s***-ton of D. I saw Malik Beasley shoot the 3 like a muthuh. I saw a new fast, young, big and talented Laker team. This game gave me wood, NGL.

I had written them off, but I feel like that over-done meme "Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in." (Pacino in The Godfather originally?)

Absolutely! Gotta give credit where credit is due. This was an incredible game from Westbrook for us, truly a joy to watch the Lakers when Russ is playing like this!

What a fun team to watch after getting rid of bad ***-ets and getting good ***-ets in return.

Despite having relatively *** games from Lebron and AD (whichever is ***-er is up for debate) everyone else contributed to a great team win.

Fortunately, per reports D-Lo's x-rays were negative in spite of DiVincenzo's dumb-*** move at the baseline where he had no business being at.

Hopefully the Lakers continue to kick-*** as they march forward to .500, and eventually to the playoffs!

    P.S. Ask @Cookie about the *** thing.

We went up by 24 and kept the lead.

Guys had open three pointers and actually made them.

Ad and LeBron on the bench and the supporting cast carried us.

Several teams we are trying to pass in the standings lost last night.

This is definitely more like it.

Damn. Never felt so happy watching this team for years.

Blowout win. Is this real? Blowout win by the begging of the 4th quarter? With LeBron scoring 13 and shooting 5 for 20? AD taking 5 shots? Our 3rd best player getting injured on 1st quarter? LeBron and AD with 26min?

Oh my god. This feels like a dream to be honest lol.
This team fits so we'll. Absolute mastermind from the FO. Future looks so much brighter and this is a team that is fun to root for. All guys can play and step up. We don't need big games from LeBron and AD to win games. We need then to win a title, which is a position I didn't thought we would be in this season.

Hopefully we steal a game from the next 2 (at Dallas and Memphis) and then must get 3 wins from at OKC and Wolves, Warriors and Memphis at home. That's a 5-2 in 7 games against teams in the West. And there's no reason we can't win all of them. I'm excited!

Overall: the rim protection is night and day post-trade deadline. Guys have length, long arms clogging up the passing lanes. Far, far less easy baskets given up in the lane. We play some serious D now: virtually over night!

Gotta say: some near-lockdown defense from the Lakers: it's been a long time, but it's back. If not for a 14 minute garbage time, we hold GSW under 100...which isn't done much these days. Tonight in OT, we had another 280 point game in the Assn: C-Bags beat IND 142-138 today.

And, while I'm watching this NEW team, they're obviously not used to playing with each other. Did anyone send Pelinka flowers, btw?

This team has so much depth now. Everyone seemed involved last night and it was fun to watch an actual blowout. More good things to come, I assume? :)
