Lol..like Lebron? Lebron is a much better scorer though. Well until he starts getting tired in the 4th quarter. Having two guys like that, is a bit of an issue though.

Lebron's at 75.6 and 76.2 ft percentage the last two years while Russ is 66.7 and 65.5 so there is a pretty big gap.

    10% difference is huge.

    Another one:
He will leave his man wide open in order to stat chase rebounds.
He will completely lack any sort of defensive awareness.

It wasn't toxic when those two Clipper failures pointed the finger and blamed everyone for their shortcomings but who's in the mirror? Blaming Trezz, Lou, Green and Doc (who's the most overrated coach in the NBA) instead. What have they done since joining forces in Clipper Land?

If not for the cataclysmic s*** show in Brooklyn, Clippers would be the biggest disappointment in the past 5 years.

If. We've been playing the hypothetical game with the Clippers since they were assembled. They can't last longer than the lifespan of a bandaid.

Regarding the rest of the post, Russ actually gets in the way of the rest of their acquisitions and if the ball is in his hands and not PG or Kawhi in crunch time, that's a huge win for their opponent.

What acquisitions? Plumlee is a 6'11 back up center. They don't plan on playing Zubac and Plumlee together. This Bones Hyland kid? Meh..he isn't some kind of factor, George, Morris and Kawhi all publicly talked about needing a point guard, after they got him. That should tell you all you need to know, about his importance to thier playoffs plans. Playoff rotations tighten up, some of those guys minutes were getting reduced anyway.

On another note..Yeah I'm totally hoping that the injury situation, continues to be the same for Kawhi and George. If not, we will have serious problems with that team.

That ball in the hand at crunch time stuff? Just some more Westbrook hating. That wasn't an issue in Houston, Washington or here either. I see absolutely no reason, to assume that the dude is going to somehow think that Leonard and George aren't the closers across the hall. If his ego was as big as folks make it out to be, he would have told Lebron to f*** off and let him run the show last season.

Anyway F the Clippers, I hope it all goes down in flames. I stand on what I said though, if those dudes are healthy in the playoffs, I don't want to see them at all, that is not a good match up for us. That doesn't mean someone else won't match up better against them. Just not the Lakers.

He fell off pretty badly for some reason this season, maybe he's been hurt a lot. We might have some interest, his FG% took a nose dive, but he still shot 38% from deep on 3 attempts a game.

He'd be competing against Reaves,Beasley and Walker at 2, and Brown and Vanderbilt at SF tho. Not sure he'd get much burn.

Clippers have the Lakers number with or without Brick and I doubt him switching teams changes the equation much.
They were tough handle for the Lakers pre-Westbrook trade as excellent Laker guards defenders in KCP and Caruso were too small to handle George and Kawhii. Kuzma had his consistency issues.

This Lakers team is better able to handle them with Vanderbilt as he can guard both of them so we'll see how it goes. A lot depends if Reaves and Brown can play as well as they did against GS against George

Russ is not our problem so I'm not willing to spill as much digital ink on him as before. These grades tell all that needs to be told.

From bball index, opportunity and usage grades compared to other starters this season
    Screenshot_20230221_172259_Chrome.jpg

Note ball dominance %, usage rate, offensive load%, off ball%, and primary defender involvement rate.

Trae Young the new coach killer.

I like Nate. I think he's a great assistant and a decent enough head coach. Didn't deserve to get canned.

Once he told Trae, that he could go home and not play in a game, it was going to be a wrap eventually.

    He's on the list

I don't think this is realistic with who's available and who's on their roster.
