    At least we know early in Free Agency; there are still some very viable options at Center. Green and Carroll are gone, obviously. Look at Anderson, and some other wings I can't remember the names...

    Yup lets go for Tobias Harris. I'm sure he'll be willing to sign for less than the max as Middleton didn't get the max either. Hopefully the magic get Milsap so it's less likely they'll match the offer. But who really knows since the cap is going up so everyone's trying to take advantage of it.

    I never even considered LMA before FA started:D I doubt anyone has. Eye on the prize. He is not the only FA around.

    is it just me or have these FA meetings gone horribly these past few years?

    honestly, not sure having kobe at the meetings is the best idea. seems like he just scares potential FA's away. and we all know having jim buss at these meetings is probably the biggest reason why no big name FA's want to come to LA anymore. mitch and jeannie should be the only ones in the room during these meetings

    Please dear Lord, don't just spend to spend. Go after whales, and if you don't get any bites, be patient. Yes, the cap is blowing up next season, but no thank you to overpaying Harris who put up good numbers on a bad team and isn't very interested in playing defense. Pass.

    Haha, I'll admit I haven't been nearly as active on Laker boards over the past few years as I was before that (for many reasons), but holy hell is the whole "Jim Buss is the scapegoat" talking point still a thing? That's the laziest argument around.

    Harris is a good defender and save the money for who? Are we going to keep sitting on our cash waiting for someone to come? The last three years should show us that's not a viable method. We need to add someone and Harris is a someone.

    Totally agree, doesn't help that Middelton got some decent money as well. Might be pushing the asking price for Harris higher.
