as i mentioned last night, we have a real logjam at the sg spot now, imo. wonder if we're going to do something there.

bev/walker/beasley/reaves/christie (and really, brown, too). i could see going for a sf or a center. i was actually a bit surprised we did a deal that included minny and didn't include routing bev there.

I like the Vanderbilt and Beasley pickups. Nicely done by Rob

The hope is you develop these role players better than you would have a 1st round pick who would be green.

Yeah, now that things have died down a bit I'm actually analyzing the roster.

I feel like we will make another move if we can. SF and Center definitely at the top of the list. Not sure what names are in play at this point.

We've still got the other pick to play with but I think we hold that unless its a home run player. Also, I think you pointed out that we have to keep costs in mind and I agree.

The roster improved but I would not say we are an automatic champion or anything. Jeannie is going to be hesitant to balloon the pay roll up too high for a team that still might not be a favorite.

Definitely the most interesting trade deadline we've had in awhile.

The shooting has improved to be respectable now, Lakers could use another perimeter defender who can hit the 3

to me, the writing is on the wall that we're going to let bev and walker expire this summer, but maybe they'll surprise me today with something else.

someone mentioned elsewhere that bkn has a logjam at sf now, and i'd inquire about royce oneale. does walker and a couple 2nds get that done? to me, he's a sf, despite his height. i remain interested in plumlee as a glue guy big center, too.

Lakers shouldn't move Reaves or Christie, that would be a mistake for the long term.

They could move Beasley, but then you are trading away your best volume 3-pt shooter, so not sure that wouldn't be counterproductive. Also think they have to do it before finalizing the Wolves/Jazz deal, yes?

As much as I would say getting a 3 and D wing/small forward type, not sure there are any of the good ones out there that are available and where we have the assets to trade for.

So, yes that is what you look for but if you can't get one; go ahead and get another shooter.

Right now, when it comes to using our other 1st round pick....Trent Jr. seems to be our best option for the reasons I listed...

I like Royce and even would consider Crowder though I hate him. lol.

Plumlee is probably who I keep my eye on though mainly because of Mitch. I think Tsai has decided he doesn't want to deal with us. Walker and seconds for O'neale should be enough to get it done but who knows with some of these teams.

I think the Hornets would be open to moving Plumlee though and a deal with them makes sense.

I think we have something else lined up, otherwise Bev for Prince makes too much sense and would've been included.

Yeah, I'd definitely ask about Royce. I wanted him in on the Kyrie deal (and one of their shooters). He plays bigger than he is.

Plumlee is having a good year averaging 12 points and almost 10 rebounds. He'd be a nice backup to AD.

Yeah, OG in Memphis is perfect, don't know why they haven't pulled it off.

Agree with our current logjam at the 2. I would be ok in trading the pick to Toronto for Trent

Wondering if the Nets do something else. They could get tons of picks for their 3&D - Mikal, Cam, Crowder and Royce. Every contender wants one and they have 4 lol

I like the trade for both teams. I mean, the Suns traded their depth and their future to enter a "win it now" mode. They have a great starting five, but their main issue is health. All of their main guys have injury concerns. Someone goes down, and suddenly you don't have the playmaking, the firepower or the depth. It's not an uncommon situation with top heavy teams, of course, but they are an extreme example. Good team though.

Nets can full rebuild now. They got some nice players for depth and a bunch of picks they could use in draft or in trades. Yes, they failed miserably in constructing a super-team, but hey... everyone makes mistakes when you swing for the fences.

For us, I honestly think that one more trade (for Bojan, for example) makes us a legitimate contender. We now have both the star power and the depth, we have the veterans, the youth, and the SIZE. I think the future suddenly looks bright for us, as long as Bron can keep playing well. Reduce the logjam at G and get a SF or a legit tall SG/SF hybrid. Possibly, we could try to get a center.

If we were able to snag Bojan for 2029 lightly protected, man I love how the rotation looks:

    DLO / Schroeder
    Reaves / Beasley / Christie
Bojan / Vanderbilt / Brown Jr
    LeBron / Hachimura
    AD / Bryant / Gabriel

All of a sudden you’ve got solid shooting and much better size. Maybe you look to the buyout market for a better run protecting backup 5

Grizz main weakness is halcourt offense , OG isn't their biggest need , they're fine on D , they need another scorer off the bench , maybe JC if Utah is willing to trade him

Toronto really got Poetl for next to nothing. It finally gives them that center they've needed for years now. They still need some guard help though but I think they'll get that with an OG or Trent trade. If Trent's value didn't just rise I would have thought Lonnie and Bev would get it done for him.

KD to Phx, just wow... soft on KD but of course now Suns are favorites out West if they can stay healthy. The did give up all their youth and wing defenders though unless they can recover some in an Ayton trade. Ayton seems like the odd man out when the other 3 are volume scorers and ball dominant.

We should try to deal with Nets and their abundance of wings now. DFS and Royce Oneal would be good pick ups for Lonnie/Bev. Or see if Det's asking price for Bojan drops.

Teams trying to get Nets to flip Bridges

I wonder if whoever misses out on OG, offers up the same 3 pick package for Bridges.

    Crowder
I think they figure out something with the Bucks. Milwaukee has put too much time and energy in their pursuit of Jae not to end up with him.

Nets bet on KD will stay and failed. They would have gotten a couple of more FRPs from the Lakers and maybe Reaves or Christie

Cuban is probably thinking: “I could have had KD if I was willing to let Kyrie go to the Lakers.”

We’re good though. This worked out perfectly for us with the depth and youth we got in the Russ deal. And we saved Reaves/Max as well as the pick in the process.
