Again, this is a development that we and the Lakers expected. It kind of sucks at how easily it happened though.
Okay so reading the tea leaves: Milsap to Orlando Aldridge to SA Jordan to Dallas Chandler to LAC or MIL It looks more and more like our targets will be Monroe and maybe Harris now that Millsap is on his way to Orlando.
I think we are going to have to seriously consider moving on to one of the SF's - either Harris or Carroll. I would love to get either one. Realistically maybe Harris and try to re-sign Ed Davis. Monroe? No thanks. I hope we don't spend much energy on him.
Looking at their cap situation- Parker- 14.445 Diaw- 7 Mills- 3.2 Anderson- 1.2 Green- 10.03 (assuming he signed with Bird Rights that's his starting point) Total= 35.875 Cap Holds + 3.68 millin Total = 39.555 million. That leaves at least 27.445 million, maybe as much as 29.775 million. Max offer to Aldridge starts at 18.8 million. Then Duncan and Ginobili split the rest or take what they want while the Spurs fill in around that team.
I know it makes basketball sense for Atlanta, but I cannot help feeling this is the KG trade all over again with Pop and Budenholzer. Also can we get a thread name change to "Screw you Atlanta!"?

Anyone else is frightened that we are second place on every C? after SA on Aldridge, after Dallas on Jordan, we already lost Lopez, and Gasol. If Chandler is moving its to the Clippers. I really hope the Lakers know what they are doing.
