Not yet. They'll move Splitter and/or Diaw to make the room for LMA me thinks. Spurs aren't this shortsighted. They've been planning an LMA move for months...
Also keep in mind kawhi and green won't sign their deals until AFTER the Spurs are done shopping, which means they only count as theor low cap hold number for now. Once everyone else is on board Spurs will exceed the cap to sign Green and Kawhi.
That's about right. So with agreeing swith Kawhi to basically a max and signing Green, where the hell is San Antonio going to get the money to offer Lamarcus now? Even if they do the trade with CLE to get that non-guaranteed contract, they'd still need to move heaven and earth to even offer the full $18.8M that we can give him. http://www.sbnation.com/2015/6/30/8...alary-cap-lamarcus-aldridge-free-agent-rumors
I don't know. All I can tell you is what I heard Windhorst reporting; they've had LMA in mind for months and had all this already planned in how they were going to execute the plan to acquire him. Looks like it might be coming together.
SAS I would have thought would have lost Green and gutted their team completely. Keeping Green and still having the possibility of moving Splitter/Diaw to make room for LMA is a very good move. Makes them an even more ready made situation than they already were...
Well, I don't think any 'deals' can be signed until July 9th if I'm understanding what Battle tweeted the other day; nevertheless, good move for the Spurs.
Crap, I heard the news and took it to mean that they had given up on LMA and opted to re-sign their own guys. Didn't realize that they'll just use their cap space on LMA and then use bird rights to go over the cap and re-sign their own players. Might actually mean they're more confident that they can get him.
