    The season is now over in my opinion. Despite all the baggage, the Kyrie trade was do or die for us, considering there was no other trade out there that could turn us into a contender.

    Really disappointed we're probably letting Russ expire as well. Would at least bring me some joy seeing him out of the team.

    Yeah, I think Lakers now turn their attention to Rozier and possibly another guard who could shoot. Or they just might go all in on Lavine.

    i'd be pushing hard on vanvleet. does a lot of things irving does without the crazy. won't extend, either, but won't cost as much.

    We don't know if he would have taken a 2 year extension or not to play for the Lakers. People make all kinds of assumptions about that guy like they know what he's thinking. Moot point now.

    Agreed, and hopefully this trade resets the market a little bit. 1 first and 2 seconds all 2027 and later for Kyrie Irving. We should be talking 1 first max for a decent package from Charlotte.

    Yup, this was probably our last desperate shot to win another title with LeBron and AD. I guess we can look forward to LeBron breaking the scoring record and our draft pick in June.

    not me. i think we need a guy who can break down the defense AND shoot. fvv, then rozier are the only ones left after kyrie.

    but i think we could also try to get both from toronto. maybe offer to take a contract they don't want (boucher/porter)? one top-5 protected 1st?

    Does the Kyrie trade kind of set the market? I mean Smith and Dinwiddie are decent. But they just gave one 1st. Does this mean that we could get Rozier or FVV for cheaper?

    i think kyrie's personality and history affected his value quite a bit. rozier should be pretty cheap, imo. like not even a first rounder, tbh.

    bev/walker/2nd for rozier

    run rozier or schroder off the bench with russ. start reaves, move christie up in the rotation.

    it's not great, but it preserves our space, saves jeanie and company cash, and improves the team.

    I doubt just a second and two expiring contracts nets you Rozier, much less him and PJ Washington; even with the money owed to TR.

    That is crazy talk.
