I really don't want to give up any of our young core.

I get the feeling Mitch is about to pull off another big time move though.

Larry Coon killed any LMA/DJ fantasies I had; WTS, if you come out Lopez/Aldridge and you drafted Russell, that's is an amazing offseason.

If we do move one of our 3 young studs I want it to be Clarkson.

Yeah? He's the only one who has played an NBA game - and was in the running for Rookie of Year. I find that a bit surprising.

Having heard the sound of thunder for like the first time in the last 2 years today was a weird day. Then to come home from work and read up on all this.... Mind blown.

But if we were able to Keep our young 3 studs but have to live with LMA and Chandler as our pieces I would almost prefer this instead of having to trade either Clarkson or Randle as part of a sign in trade to net us LMA & DJ.

just speaks to the level of belief and confidence I have in both Randle and Russell even if you and I both know as of today Clarkson is the most proven out of them both.

If nothing else I hope our FO waits till Summer League before pulling anything trade of our young guys off, just so we can see them all in action on the court at the same time and dream of what that might look like

Whatever that means... Doesn't that mean exactly what other execs are thinking? The Lakers are seeing if they can clear space?

I don't think they're trying to get both Jordan and Aldridge, but certainly they could be trying to make room for another Center so that LA wouldn't be playing at the 5 if he doesn't want to.

I'm sorry, but if LMA wants to play next to a "true center", that's not Tim Duncan.. & even if it is, it's not for more than another year.

^ Then their books are clear again and they can go after someone like Noah.

The thing is, so can everyone else. I'm sure that's part of our pitch as well. The real key is how competitive of a roster can San Antonio field? If they can field a team of equal or greater value than Kobe + Young Guys + Left over cap space, then they'll probably get him. After this season, our future is a little brighter than San Antonio's, but maybe Aldridge thinks its worth it to compete with Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and Leonard for one year.

He's also the cheapest and gives us the least financial benefit trading. He's the last one I'd trade.

If it's LMA it's got to be Randle. To get LMA you've got to give him the PF slot for 4 years. Randle is yet to play a full game and would be redundant. If we could find a team that thinks half as much as most here we could get a nice piece in return or we could trade him for one of the guys we want in a sign and trade and open up more for signing missing pieces.

The 3 young guys are fun to develop but I just don't see this current ownership group doing that. I'm sure there is pressure from their TV partners to become relevant quick and 3/5 of your core being under 22 years old and 1/5th being old and fragile isn't a way to do that.

    oh really ...

In that case, move Sacre and Kelly and Robin should be possible. I think it'll be a lot easier dumping them than Swiggy PI (Swaggy P + Iggy however you spell her last night)
