    This one is absurd. Whatever he is, he's not a #2 option on offense. In fact, if you put together a hundred teams randomly from all the players in the NBA he wouldn't end up #2 on any of them (I don't know if that's true; that's tough math, but you get the point).

    I think it's bc trade rules allow a higher % of salary to come in than goes out.

    I figured... I think the percentage is 125% but I"m not positive on that...

    Either way, I am really starting to prefer the Aldridge/Rolo idea.

    If you want to get an idea of where a team stands in terms of caps, holds, etc., try this site:

    You can even go through "fantasy" scenarios with your team to see what they can swing, under the cap rules.

    Okay... If we can Get LMA + DJ, Randle is expendable. & for all of those saying "Randle is a Beast", we have not seen him play significant minutes yet.
    If we have to trade assets, we need to keep either Russell or Clarkson.

    So, in review..

    (LMA + DJ) > (Randle + Russell/Clarkson)

    Lakers can't get Jordan and Aldridge. It's way more likely that they are trying to clear cap space for RoLo, that way they can sell both Lopez and Aldridge on sticking together and as an added bonus Aldridge wouldn't have to play center. If the Lakers can move Nick without taking on salary or dealing Randle/JC/Russell and then sign Rolo/Aldridge...wow, that would be one hell of a summer.

    Don't see how Lakers get a Max Big + another close to max FA without giving up one of either Clarkson/Russell/Randle..
    If Mitch can do it tho, I'll polish his shoes for a year.
