^Uncle Fester is not lending a hand...nope...no way. It has to be Portland. Aldridge...AND Chandler would be fine.
Why would the Blazers be less likely to help? If they can get Randle it's a lot better than watching LMA patting Manu on the head after a nice pass and getting nothing.
Hey! An Amico sighting! You're telling me the Cavs wouldn't want Nick Young? He'd be the only player on their team outside of LeBron capable of creating offense for himself.
If I'm LMA or Jordan, I want a young stud like Randle coming off the bench, and I'd sacrifice a couple of my many millions for one year to keep him.
I think that'd be better than SA's offer of splitter, Diaw, or Mills. The last thing they need is another big. Why get Mills when Mo wants to return and you don't have to give up your only asset. They're not tons of minutes for Kyrie's backup. But with James Jones, Marion, and Miller all being ancient or done, then factor in outside interest for the high top and JR...what if they lose one of them? Either way, they're in much greater need of a wing.
How many minutes can he realistically get over the next 4 years playing behind LMA? I just don't see him as a SF so he'd be a stud with 15 minutes a game. A better question is how would Randle handle this? I'm sure he wants to shine during his rookie contract to get to the big one and playing off the bench isn't a way to a big payday typically.
Yeah I'm as biased as humanly possible, but if I'm them I talk about it. The two of them fit remarkably well, they'd immediately be media darlings... It'd be incredibly interesting.
My take too. The Lakers can throw in smaller contracts as well, maybe include Jabari Brown too. Cut the guys you don't want, keep the ones you do.
I'm not a huge fan of Jordan's. IF we are getting LMA and moving Randle I'd rather get a more fundamentally sound player than Jordan.
Not that interested in Biyombo... I'd prefer getting Aldridge's running mate in Robin Lopez. He provides what Jordan does on half the scale which is great because he's half the cost probably. edit- Just sayin'...
It's raining in LA..... in the middle of a drought/summer. That's a sign if I've ever seen one. LMA and DJ!!!
Wouldn't the Lakers have to add one more player? That's what the Trade Machine says. Salaries don't work yet.
IF Mitch pulls it off, they should just hand him the executive of the year award to him right then and there. I'm no expert on cap and salary processes but I see where Aldridge made about 16 mil last season so if he's looking for anything near that, no way we can afford both. Also it's been reported DJ wants to be at least the number 2 option on offense. Problem is, he outside of PR and lobs, he doesn't have an offensive repertoire. I know we can't promise that to him so there's another strike against that idea.
