omg this. the narrative we need is that we're a game out of 6th and AD, reaves, and walker (and bev...i guess) are all expected back soon. the "get lebron help" narrative doesn't help anything good happen.

 

How long do you think LeBron can keep us afloat on his own? Bev and None should be gone by now. I agree, that injuries derailed our growth this season though.

 

another month maybe? my larger point is just that the type of trade available to us isn't going to suddenly turn things two days after it's made. hell, even a great trade (not currently available by any account i've seen) won't do that.

i think the team has done well to recover from that awful start and has battled through injuries to stay competitive, and that both ham (for keeping the locker room together) and the FO (for learning from last year and getting younger depth) should get some credit for that.

the longer we can stay competitive, the better our chance to make a good trade are. and i want a trade or trades, too. i just don't think it has to happen today.

hell, a month ago i wanted fournier/reddish, and i'm over that already. i think holding out has been the wiser strategy so far.

 

P-Bev started in our Rockets win and played 22 mins.

Maybe I need to visit the Gabriel thread, but he's looked really good for us the past 3-4 games. Wenyan deserves more love from us, imo.

 

I know it was only HOU, but it was a BTB, and we had 2 TOs the entire game. TWO turn overs, over 48 minutes! Russ usually has two three minutes after he gets subbed in. TOs are a sign of communication, getting used to playing with each other, and many other factors. But TWO for an entire game? Man, that was enjoyable to watch. The Lakers kept letting HOU back into the game, but before anyone said anything, you got the feeling, "These guys are taking care of the ball."

It was pleasant AF to see.

 

This helps while trying to right the ship again with another win streak.

i expected them to be better. they've had injuries, but you expect that with their roster. they also spent a ton of money to try and mitigate that (and that's been successful the past two years). maybe it's catching up with them. i was going to say reggie jackson falling off really hurt them, but i looked it up and he was just as bad last year. i think people overlooked how much he helped them after they got him off the scrapheap. no wonder they're looking at conley. i get it.

gotta get this one.

 

NO Sabonis tonight flipped the odds to the Lakers actually being favored tonight.

We absolutely have to take advantage tonight. I hope we don't take them for granted but then again we're still without AD Reaves and Walker...

I expect Barnes will play some 5 tonight which means get ready for 4 guard lineups tonight smh...

I think it's silly they have to put "Non Covid" illness vs out sick. I guess it's because they have to clarify about safety protocols, etc, but still seems weird.

 

Only 10 more games before Bev and/or Nunn are kicked off this team.

There is a better chance of me suiting up and playing for the Lakers than that dimwit owner and that scam chain doing diddly poo before the deadline. Unless its for a 2nd round pick for some 3rd tier player.
