I'm on the Huff train also. It mystifies me why he has gotten no run with the big club this year. He's smart, tough, skilled and plays hard. Would rather have him on the roster than Boogie, Meyers Lemonade, and Damien Jones.

Agreed, and LOL at Meyers Lemonade! Nice one TIME. Boogie looks pretty done. Jones just didn't bring it. Huff can set picks and spread the floor with long distance shooting, he fits in pretty well here I feel.

I’m curious about Huff as well. Guess the coaching staff doesn’t think he can help for whatever reason.

Maybe Huff stinks. Not in Bball sense but in an olfactory way, as in no one wants to get close to him? :giggle:

no idea why they're looking at centers. is replacing damian jones that important?

not only has TB more than proven he deserves serious minutes even once AD returns, but isn't huff still in the system? you're telling me broken down boogie cousins and meyers leonard who hasn't played in a few years is better?

They are looking at available talent. Nobody wants anymore guards, there aren't any "big wings" out there either. We might not sign anybody.

Imagine how terrible Jones must be in practice to still get zero minutes with the front office working out Boogie, Cody Zeller and Meyers Leonard with AD out and all of our center minutes going to Thomas Bryant and Wenyen Gabriel.

I kinda got a feeling Rob isn't excited about a new deal on Turner. A trade means a loss of at least one FRP and with Hield it'll be two. A new deal in next summer's market may be tough, Turners cap hold will eat up everything. And then matching, these are implications that need thought by a GM who plans to be around long term. Couple all this with the fact that Indy is not motivated to do a deal other than Turner's expiring. Thing is, Pacer's owner Herb Simon is 88 and enjoying winning. Fugger will be dead soon but they run the lowest salary in the NBA yet are 7th in the East. Still, they would like to offload Hield and get some return on Turner. But I don't think the old bugger cares too much about the future. He's fist-pumping with every win right now. Tough team to deal with.

I'm super chill. You were the one who decided to say you didn't care what I thought at the first iteration, which is not something very nice in...a message board.
So I answered on the same style, but definitely didn't want to put you uncomfortable. I probably just have a thicker skin.

If the logic answers to your questions make you laugh and ignore me, yeah we should not talk.
    Have a great day

I think this is a fair trade and I would even throw in a first rounder to sweeten the deal.

turner's contract status is a problem that the media has largely ignored in its eternally ongoing coverage of his trade value. the fact that a) he can walk and b) he's going to want a huge raise based largely on one season of the level of performance should scare a lot of teams. you have to feel confident that he'll continue to play this way and that he won't leave if he does. teams (his!) were throwing 30 per at ayton last summer.

this was obviously det's gambit with bogdanovic--they (probably accurately) figured that he couldn't fetch a first because of his contractual status, so they got that ironed out in the hopes they could up his value. we'll see if it works. if i were a team with a bunch of firsts to spare, i'd definitely give that for him.

    that's not us, though.

Time for Ham and Bron to leverage their relationship with Korver.

Trade Russ, Jones and picks for Collins, Bogdanovic and Justin Holiday.

do you think collins is a good fit here. he's been my "buy low" player all year; i just don't think he fits well next to lebron and AD. not known as a defender (though he's probably better than given credit for there), and his shot just dropped off a cliff this year, bizarrely. i guess you could gamble on that regressing to the mean, though.

Speaking of Korver, I am 100% confident he can still shoot the 3 better than anyone on our team.

Sure makes you wonder how he was able to impress most of us the first time around and then stink it up so bad this time?????
