I see your point but i think that our need for defense from that position is greater than the need of an offensive player that will be paid like a star and isnt really filling the void that we have

Thats why i say that we can sign any FA but at tje end of the day we're still gonna need a guy to clean up the glass and protect the rim.

If we get LA we still gotta sign a big because he doesnt wanna play the 5

If we sign tobias we still have a hole at the 5

If we sign love we still need a 5

The only scenario where wouldnt need a 5 is if we get deandre and people are down on him because he's all D and no offense but at least he fills the void thats where i see the difference

Monroe = deandre one is all offense the other is all defense

Getting tobias makes our bench better either clarkson or randle are relegated to the bench but in any scenario we still need a 5

No point in having 5 guys that are great offensively if were gonna allow 130 pts a night

That would make us the new phx suns all offense no defense

This is where if upshaw pans out were gonna be in a great position

Nerlens didn't play a second. Neither did Blake Griffin. Randle did. I think Randle isn't a rookie by the rules, but I'm not sure.

But Harris is a good defender, and Biyombo can be signed. Signing Monroe, however, does give us atrocious defense.

Well they like to sign players that've been with us and didn't live up to anything ... Barnes, Butler (had a good year here but the signed him like 8 years too late), Farmar ... Wes would fit right in there. Just like Kwame :D ... imagine Kwame/Griffin/Wes/Reddick/Paul ... Paul would be freaking out haha.

For those who are still intrigued by Marc Gasol...heres what he thinks about life, basketball, etc...in fact he's not taking any meetings other than with Grizz reps. He's very comfortable there.

The only thing I like about signing Monroe is his age and price. If we can find a way to dump an additional 8-9M in Young, Kelly, Sacre - we can potentially sign another Max FA in that same salary tier. Of course I'm still hoping for Middleton. I want the elite rim protector in DeAndre or Biyombo, but if we aren't getting that, I'll settle for an elite defender on the wing. Or 2 if we get McDaniels to back him up.

Chandler would pretty much be a one or two year rental. A temporary fix. Doesn't do anything for the future, like attracting free agents. But I'd still take him if we strike out on DeAndre. If Chandler is gone bring in the BisMACK.

That would suck but as long as he plays well and stays healthy it doesnt matter

Hes a young millionaire in one of the best markets in a talented team that will grow together and win multiple championships

"Reports" said middleton would be re-signing with milwaukee but who knows.

Id take biyombo before chandler younger and im pretty sure he'd be cheaper ;)

Thought about it for 0.7 seconds and you're right. BisMACK over Chandler.

As for Middleton, haven't you heard? We picked him in the 2nd round.

What's the love over Biyombo? He's 6'9. If we're going with undersized Centers, I'd rather have Ed Davis back than him.

For me, just his name :giggle:

No, but really, his rim protection. He averages almost 3 blk per 36 minutes. And he may be 6'9" but his wingspan is a ridiculous 7'6" negating his height disadvantage.
