Hield for Kuzma and Trez was fine for me, and infinitely better than doing the Russ trade. Hell doing nothing would have been infinitely better.

You got me started today with the Russ was a better signing than the infinitely better FIT (high volume high gravity 3 point shooter) that Hield would have been at half the salary that would have allowed ADDITIONAL (look it up in the dictionary) quality "interchangeable" role players above vet minimums and the mini MLE for ADDITIONAL interchangeable quality role player depth. To go along with Reaves, Walker, Bryant, Anderson and Brown and Jones. Even if it was only Caruso.

If AD gets back next month, we'll be ok. If he doesn't, it's a wrap. Same as the two previous seasons, and the 7 before we got him.

Who's the point guard then? Fwiw..Monk was better than Hield last season.

Monk was better than Hield last season. Who is the point guard? The team was still over the salary cap either way without Dennis being signed. We were still chosing Tucker over Caruso too.

Lol..that's the way it rolls around here. It starts with Lebron " meddling " then it switches to Westbrook trade. All the while AD is in street clothes but that somehow doesn't matter or is " secondary ".

All I know is that this team sucked for years, even in Lebron's 1st year. AD was the ingredient that made us successful, still is. Bark about Lebron, Westbrook, Rob, role players, Hamm etc All you want.

See that is exactly what you do in your ridiculous arguments about WB. Him only basically as for me anyway I agree with most of your other observations most of the time. But you're maddening and insulting to the collective intelligence around her on the Russ issue.

All I got? Did you bother to even consider the rest of the paragraph? Even if just additionally keeping Caruso of the over vet min and mini MLE salaries it would have been a good start. We could have found a cheap even vet min PG to take some dribbling duties off LeBron. Hield would have been a "start" and left us with more options at the deadline last year, this off season and the deadline this year with the difference in salary.

While I don't agree with your assessment of Russ and certain trades, I do agree that the biggest problem with this team right now is actually AD and his inability to stay healthy. Even with a roster that I believe is extremely flawed, we were turning a corner before AD got hurt. This isn't an "all stars miss time" thing either, he's consistently missed big chunks now for three years in a row. If AD hadn't suffered this weird foot injury and was only missing a game or two here and there for minor things, I think we're probably over .500 right now with a real shot to vault into real contention with one trade. I legit Top 10 guy like AD covers up a lot of deficiencies both on and off the court for an organization.

I said that Hield wasn't any better than Monk. If we had him and Kcp why would Monk sign here? Caruso or Tucker was the way it was going down, whether we traded for Westbrook or not. We were still over the salary cap man.

We should have went with the hardcapped situation of a sign and trade IMO. We were going to lose Tucker and Caruso anyway. But we did what we did..anything basically works if AD is healthy, but therein lies the rub, he has only been healthy for 1 season here.

we still cannot win with the current roster + AD even IF 100% healthy.

47 million on Westbrook is too much of a dead weight.

Lol.. I like talking about Westbrook, it pisses folks off. I wasn't a big fan of Kuz, and never understood the Trez signing, I liked Kcp and Caruso though.

Rob probably should have made that Lowry trade, that way we keep Caruso and probably still get Monk. Lowry would be getting all the Westbrook noise now but again, I don't think Rob makes moves with AD in mind, it's always about Lebron. To me this is the biggest mistake. Turner, Wood,Grant, I've been pinning for another big to fit next to AD for 3 seasons now. We might figure it out next season.

False..we have absolutely no evidence on that subject. The only time this team has ever shown any semblance of being good was when AD was healthy. Some little less than 30 games sample doesn't mean jack. Our hated enemy had a losing record on January 19th I believe, and still made it to the Finals. The season is 82 games long bro.

so with AD healthy we're a title team, and with AD out we can't even make the playoffs?

that makes absolutely no sense to me. AD is not Jordan or Prime Lebron.

Maybe yes maybe no both had strengths and weaknesses but I mentioned gravity in there somewhere and high attempt and above average from deep creates that to the exact 180 opposite of Russ's gravity outside with it jammed up most of the time inside because teams gladly take the odds with letting Russ shoot.

I think EVERY single post on this site should be moved to the Whine, Moan and Complain section.

    It's all we have left.
