Let's just go out and beat the C Bags!!! I have no clue on trades...the word is that we don't want long-term money, and are only giving up picks for an All Star caliber talent. None of these deals seem to fit the bill though. I'd still watch the Atlanta Hawks...they might trigger a lot of action in a couple of weeks. I'd take John Collins, for salary matching and 1FRP

Problem is lack of bigs and big wings with that. Bogdanovic is not a defender (news). Rozier doesn't compliment enough.

This team is so far from a championship, roster wise at this point.

3 all time greats can't even get to .500 yet. No way I'm mortgaging the farm for them. Figure it out.

tbh, the sixth man award is a bit silly, too. most improved, too.

ok, all awards are sort of silly on some level, but those two make even less sense.

i have no problem with those awards. but "clutch player of the year" clearly is only a thing to generate social media controversy

Yeah, you know what, if they want us to take on Fournier’s contract they can send us a first round pick. Why? Because. Price gouging. They want us to sacrifice our beloved cap space, first round pick. Also, this happened

The Knicks do have a lot of draft capital.

    In 2023 they have:
    • Their own 1st
    • Dallas 1st (top 10 protected)
    • Detroit 1st (top 18 protected)
    • Washington 1st (Top 14 protected)
    In 2024 they have:
    • Their own 1st
    • Detroit 2nd
    • Utah or Cleveland 2nd (whichever is better)
    In 2025 they have:
    • Their own 1st
    • Milwaukee 1st (top 4 protected)
In 2026 they have their own 1st

In 2027 they have their own 1st and 2nd.

We might have the opportunity to get one of those 1st that they have stockpiled. Maybe a 2nd in 2024 and 2027 would be fine too. Another thing of note is we are currently projected to have the 27th, 36th, and 37th pick in the 2023 draft.

This would be great. Right now this is sounding like our best option and I like it. Adds three point shooting and a wing. Yes neither guy is playing their best but for our junk it’s a no brainer for me. Plus the addition by subtraction of BevMo. Just taking him out of the picture for Ham is a win.

Might net us a pick as well, keeps our own picks and Russ to move later. But if we are taking on Fournier we will need to move Russ before the deadline as we won’t have much cap space if we let him expire.

Yeah, we could follow it up with Westbrook/Jones/2027 1st (top 10 protected) to Charlotte for Rozier/Oubre/Plumlee.

That would be a great follow up move. Locks down a starting level PG and center and another scorer in Oubre. Jones will probably have to go out with Nunn and BevMo in a Cam and Fournier trade to match salary.

really not a fan of Oubre, he's like Kuzma but worse.

also like Westbrook, takes dumb shots all the time, shoots way too much from 3 for someone who can't shoot.

He is but I don’t mind having him as a throw in at all. He’s scoring up a storm right now.

I would be ok sending out Christie if it meant getting an additional pick

I know the talent were talking about getting back sounds good, but we can’t integrate 4-5 new contributors in the middle of the season and expect to go anywhere this year unless they all have really high Bball IQs.

Chemistry takes time to build up. Knowing what each other’s predilections are etc.

I’m for 1 or 2 new pieces maybe 3, to make noise this season. That’s all.
