I'd be shocked if Harris isn't maxed. And if he isn't maxed and we aren't the ones getting him I'll be disappointed.
Serious question; could we somehow add Harris and Chandler? Russell/Clarkson Kobe/Clarkson/Brown Harris/Brown/Nance Randle/Black/Kelly Chandler/Upshaw/Sacre This is fun.
Harris' value apparently might not be max, so I'd say yes. Although I'm not sure Chandler wants to come play with a bunch of kids.
That lineup isn't as sexy as having Jordan/LMA in the frontcourt, but would probably get us the most wins.
Then... Russell/Clarkson Durant/Clarkson Harris/Nance Randle/Black Chandler/Upshaw We go nine deep and DESTROY.
I think no way harris/chandler happens unless young is moved. maybe pull the trigger on the haywood/young proposed deal, then use the savings to make a play for both? I'd be in.
Missing out on a max guy isn't the worst thing, if we can get two good players at the SF/C spot. Could help us more.
No. I haven't been motivated to find a youtube highlights clip yet. Am on the Black, Upshaw, Rob freaking Sacre train.
If he comes cheap enough, I'd definitely want to sign Biyombo. Plus, that'll give Kobe another teammate to call "Congo Cash."
This is the exact roster I want. It's realistic and really good. You know what else it is? Versatile! PG/SGs: Russell, Clarkson, Kobe SG/SFs: Kobe, Brown SF/Pfs: Harris, Randle, Nance, Kelly PF/Cs: Black
So, honest question, how does this work in the real premiere free agent world? If Aldridge doesn't say yes in that first, earlier, most wanted free agent meeting .... needs of course time to visit his other prospective clubs ...... what do they say to D. Jordan? "We really, really want you here to be part of what the Lakers are building and we're excited about ...... in case LaMarcus Aldridge says no"?
