Lebron was out last year too. Every year Rob puts out a worse product on the floor. And yet he has been extended until 2026.
Record doesn’t support it. Last year’s team won 33 games. This team as currently constructed is on pace to win 15.
I did not think this was a .500 team. The roster is so poorly constructed. Doubling down on keeping Russ ensured that. If we wanted to compete we needed to do a deal this summer. And the BevMo trade was just dumb unless he and Nunn can net us a good player or two.
I didn't think that was possible. This is depressing. How does Rob even show up for the exit interviews in April? "Hey I know we sucked really bad this year, even though I promised we would be better, but we'll get 'em next year I promise!"
How do you stink at your job and get rewarded for it? Can I get a job like that earning millions of dollars?
Jeanie is soft, she operates on nepotism, the best thing you can do in her book is be loyal. Look at everyone around her and then all the people who are now gone. The ones that are gone wronged her in some perceived way. Magic reportedly quit, among other reasons, because Jeanie didn’t want to fire Luke Walton as coach, she wouldn’t let Magic fire him, she treats this s*** like a family and not a business. Pelinka won’t be going anywhere for a long time, regardless of performance, he’s wormed his way deep in here, he was Kobe’s guy and Kobe was of course beloved by Jeanie. I can only imagine the BS Rob slings behind the scenes, his used car salesmen nonsense, it must be absolutely incredible to have gotten him extended through 2026.
The silver lining to all this is that the Lakers will have a legit shot at drafting Wembayana….. …. Oh wait.
True. I thought that the problem was that we’d signed some younger guys but hadn’t gotten enough talent for it to show up in the win loss column. Add that to a tough early schedule and a rookie coach and here we are.
Yeah. I thought we’d at least get back to the play in game. This is somehow worse than I thought which is pretty amazing.
I'm starting to wonder if Kurt is as amazing front office executive as everyone is claiming. I feel dirty even suggesting that though.
