"I think we have to get better on multiple fronts and we will this summer" For some reason, I feel like Rob will say our defense improved from last year. Mission accomplished.
Hmmm, it’s almost as if someone else “helped” Rob out with assembling our last Chip Team. We were bigger, stronger, and faster than our competition. Since then, our teams have progressively become smaller and smaller.
It’s brilliant. For every good move Rob has made he’s undermined it somehow, or done something bad to cancel it out, he built one undeniably good team (2021) and has since torn it apart. Trading for Schröder was good, promising him the starting job was bad. Bringing in Drummond was good, promising him the starting job and alienating Gasol was bad. The Kuz, KCP, and Trez deals were good, good value, trading them away for Russ was incredibly bad. Retaining THT at the time, seemed a good move, not also retaining Caruso, super bad move. I don’t know what happened to Rob in ‘21, maybe he got arrogant, maybe this is who he always was and he finally had full control, maybe he actually had less control and Jeanie got cheap, but it’s been downhill ever since.
Great post and points Weezy. Rob really has gone back and forth with those good and bad moves. This off-season too, signing Walker and Brown proved smart but trading for Pat Bev awful.
just popping in with a "quinn's definitely a laker hater and you should understand that when you read his stuff". it's tantamount to quoting simmons on lakers-related stuff. then again, so is most of this laker forum, so...
Is he, or does judging Rob objectively without the view as a diehard Lakers fan just sound like hate because he’s done THAT bad of a job? I don’t know, I’m just asking, too hard to make that call. I don’t personally see the glee in his posts that I see in people like Simmons’ posts, he just gives harsh takes.
can't remember, but this is at least the third time he's come up where the slant is obvious. he definitely is enjoying the lakers being bad.
