AD for LaVine on or after Jan 15 is possible imo. Or expand the trade.

    Lakers get: LaVine and DDR

    Bulls get: AD and Westbrook

This organization has been delusional, but I don't think they're THAT delusional.

I hope not but I get the feeling they really do think they will be able to grab Luka or someone like that with those picks.

You know, I do tend to forget that aspect of the Indiana deal. It’s not necessarily just a “all in” gamble on this season. My main concern would be Turner walking, but based on his latest interview that concern isn’t as bad. And Hield has been looking pretty good this year.

I think if you can get a pre-emptive agreement from Turner on a long term team friendly deal (something starting around $20 million), then the risk isn’t as high.

You have two players that can potentially help you salvage this season, but if we’re too far gone they still give you more flexibility heading into next summer. They could potentially be flipped again, you can continue using them as pieces around Lebron and AD, or even just hold onto them if you go the “blow it up” route and rebuild.

Assuming we could pull in Kyrie for a talk and see where that man's head is at, you have to admit there has been no better time to go after him. We could talk about no picks or second-rounders only and we can talk about adding talent like Curry or Harris. Additionally, we can talk about offloading Beverley or Nunn to clear up some space in our backcourt. I could see doing Kyrie and Curry for Westbrook and Nunn I mean we haven't got anything else going on besides Rob's mystery trade but for best value for our buck I kind of think we got no choice but Kyrie assuming he passes a heart check just to see where the man is at, if he wants to be a dissident rebel or a player. And in truth, the Busses are a lot more familiar with dealing with crazy than Tsai is. This is Hollywood. We got crazier people lining our courtside seats.

Pincus threw out a Nets trade if they decide to blow it up (cap idea, not a rumor)

If you can get KD and Been Scared Of My Shadow Simmons for our expirings + picks you do that a New York millisecond.

Not even sure how you slot all that size.
    AD
    Bron
    KD
    AR
    Simmons

Ben terrifies me and the last thing he needs is the bright lights of LA, BUT I think Ham could at least get him to defend like he's capable of and that's good enough to really help AD. If Simmons is the second best player coming back, that's interesting. If he's THE guy coming back, F no. KD solves our offensive struggles by himself.

That team goes to the Finals if health holds up.

    you are absolutely right

the only way I see for us to salvage the season at this point is to go after Kyrie + Harris/Curry for Westbrook + 1 FRP at most

then use the other FRP to package with Nunn + Bev and get another starting caliber player.

it's a huge gamble, so it won't happen.

plus I think Kyrie burned his bridges with LA over the jewish thing.

Having watched Simmons play quite a bit this season, yeah, no thanks. Durant is also on his last legs, he’s good, but we’re trading 3 giant contracts for 4. We’d have the same issues, bunch of names surrounded by non shooters. Of course we’d be better than we are now, but by how much really? Playoff team, but zero depth, one injury away from irrelevance just like the last couple Nets seasons. We need to stop looking at names and just build a decent roster of depth. Regarding Kylie, f*** Kyrie, that is all.

KD + Simmons? Who can match 80 mil a year in trades?

    Oh yeah, we can.

But that's 171-172 million locked up in 4 guys for a long time. Old-a$$ KD with old-a$$ Lebron and broke-down AD and "can't hit the broad side of a barn" Simmons.

I'm clearly in the camp that you can't win a championship with Ben Simmons as a starter on your team.

Simmons can’t handle LA at all. Not interested. I’d take some other players from the Nets though.

I was much happier with the prospect of Dame or Beal as the mystery star.

I don’t want Simmons anywhere near this team
