If Adam Silver wasn't already bald, he'd be bald by Christmas

Orlando just beat the Warriors, the Nuggets are in a battle with the Thunder in the 4th (101-101, 8 mins left). I didn’t expect the West to be this wide open, there appears to be some actual parity going on, even though yes it’s early and some things will balance out. To me this is a reason for the Lakers not to punt the season and to make some moves to get better now. This is it, this is the likely last chance for this group. If it were me I wouldn’t be waiting 20 game, I’d be trying to get the best I can right now and try to get back into the mix of it.

I hear you, as a therapist you would hope if her client did something inappropriate that she would be clear with him that he crossed a boundary so he can hopefully learn, and then if it happens again take the issue up the chain of the command to ensure it gets handled properly.

But (a) I actually don’t know the details regarding how many times it happened before she reported it and … (b) don’t think it really matters that much in the grand scheme of things? Like I can’t pretend to understand the workplace power dynamics and pressure she must have felt. I just don’t see the timing of her reporting as being a big factor to get hung up on, and calling it a “complete lack of professionalism” relative to the sexual harassment she faced comes across as victim blaming that I can’t get behind (even if that wasn’t your intention)

I had semi-jokingly brought up the idea of acquiring Kyrie again early on during this latest controversy, but yeah I’m off that boat. Specifically because it feels so good to finally NOT be the circus of the NBA

That's actually good for them. Maxey has been on another level, without Beard there to hog the ball, Maxey will only get more opportunity

And, I would add, that this is the problem when NBA players or music stars, or movie stars think that they have to have important ideas that point at the world to lead the charge of some agenda. People need to learn to be nice to others and shut the F up, quit thinking you are important and that your ideas need to be heard. You are not important and your ideas don't need to be heard. In fact, in most cases they shouldn't be.

It’s a little tempting because you know how talented Kyrie is, but I don’t want the distraction.

I think if we can add one more big and a shooter we have a chance to come out of the west with how mortal teams are looking right now. A top rated defense can do a lot for a team looking to make waves in the playoffs, and I’m pretty certain our defense is real.

Let’s not screw this chance up by adding more distractions and head cases.

No thank you to kyrie. What a mess. I was already done with him when he was talking about flat earth stuff.

I don’t care about how looney Kyrie if he can put that ball in the hoop better than anyone I would get him. I watch sports to escape from realities of life not for politics, religion or other bs.

i agree. if there was an opportunity for the lakers to acquire kyrie i would hope they take it ASAP. force him to say some BS apology and hope lebron can keep him under control

the only problem is that kyrie is bat**** crazy and you never know when he'll say something that'll get him in trouble or simply just decide he doesn't want to play anymore

But that’s the problem with having Kyrie on your team, he will make sure you CAN’T escape politics/religion/other BS. He will inevitably be outspoken about his cause of the week and make it a big sideshow that distracts from the sports.

If you had Jewish blood running through your veins, or lived your life based on the Words and Teachings of ONE who chose to be a Jew while in mortal flesh, you would not want Kyrie on your team.
    I’m not the only one.
That’s all I’m going to say about that.
As for Bridges, our Judicial System is a farce. That guy should be locked up for at least 20 years with no chance of parole and be tossed around as the new prison play thing for his heinous acts. One day Justice will be served.

I talked myself into the Kyrie for Russ trade this summer as long as we got either Curry or Harris or both back. But I’m over Kyrie and we truly do not need the headache he brings. It’s fun to see the Nets implode.
