I'd be shocked if Miles Bridges isn't suspended for a year based on that incident: Silver is going to let this dude come back after he beat the crap out of his wife while Primo is dropping his pants like he's never heard of underwear and Kyrie thinks the Elders of Zion is serious work of scholarship?

Cuban's Mavericks organization went through a very public exposure of misogynistic culture and grievances several years back. Not positive but I think sexual harassment was involved there as well. Hard to believe he didn't hear about it too at the time the first complaints to HR started to be made and nothing was done.

Seems like the rest of the league is finding out about the Irving suspension along with us, as the Silver & Nets news breaks.

Hearing that LAL plans to approach BKN again about an Irving trade, hopefully from more of a position of strength. Thinking is that a change of scenery plus LeBron may be a good reset for him. Also hoping it unblocks the Indiana talks by creating more of a sense of urgency. Preference is for whatever deal maximizes pick savings.

Will try to keep you posted as talks actually occur. Until then, take care and hang on!!

read the link and still don't know how he's restricted but the team isn't bound to the QO--i always thought the QO is what guaranteed the restriction. this is a rare case and above my novice cba paygrade.

as for the spurs thing: they're not denying that the incidents were reported early, it seems. they're quibbling about intentionality and such. the first time the psychologist reported an issue, they should have made sure the two were separated and conducted an investigation. if it was a misunderstanding, both sides would have been better served by it. instead, they kept having them in contact under their umbrella. they're clearly scrambling now, but they did it wrong and will pay.

L.A. .... the mother of all annoying pressers after games. How utterly awful would it be to have Irving here with the LA circus. Such an unlikeable jacka** on top of it. Plus Jeanie would get excoriated by the Jewish community.

i'm not trying to cast aspersions at mr. rambis, but i have some doubts that we're working the horn heavily at the moment. we've got another 12-15 games to get a sense of things here. why go for a depreciating asset?

Yuck. Pass on Kyrie. We dodged one there. He's nearly at Kanye level. If you want to be crazy off the court and uncoachable, that's one thing. Add racist rhetoric to the mix... we don't need that.

Only talks I want to have with the Nets are for Harris or Curry or to leverage a better deal from Indy.

I hate when people try to bring in hot button topics. This has nothing to do with stereotypes and racially charged fears. Is this guy actually trying to say that his junk was exposed outside of his workout shorts 9 times and he didn’t know it?

Just wanted to congratulate everyone on here coming to the Spurs defense and immediately calling into question this woman’s accusations, and asking the same hard-hitting questions that have kept sexual assault victims in the shadows for, basically, the modern era. Was worried the LakersBall community had gotten with the times and transitioned into the modern era, with the requisite sensitivity to these issues. Just an A+ day for this website.

LAL inquires about players all the time, and more often than not it never goes anywhere. They haven't actually even called (yet), but if things pick up I will certainly let you know.

Also they are hoping it gets Indiana to feel more of a sense of urgency too.

Yeah. I remember that. Plus these organizations (usually) have people in place to shield their big guns from messy situations.

I definitely think we are still interested in Kyrie. Not sure when we will try to make it happen with the Nets ship completely on fire but I can believe we still want that to happen.

I still prefer we target some good role players.

Always love a passive aggressive shot at the entire forum.

So, is it off limits to ask the questions I posed on the previous page? Do my questions indicate I have failed to transition into the modern era? And what exactly does that mean?

Just to be clear, I could not care less about defending the Spurs in this mess. My issue is with the complete lack of professionalism by both the therapist and the Spurs organization if her claim about Primo's actions is true.

The report I just read said the Nets suspended Kyrie "at least" 5 games.

Maybe I don't pay enough attention to internal team dynamics with regard to suspensions, but when was the last time you saw "at least" in the announcement of a number of games suspended?

…could be sitting on either a first and a couple of seconds or even two first round picks. Now they’re about to lose him for nothing while the team flames out.

Part of the reason they mentioned “at least” 5 games, is because they also have put a condition that he has to “satisfy a series of objective remedial measures”. No details provided on what that means, but I’d imagine that they want a genuine apology and heartfelt attempts to learn about why his rhetoric is harmful to the Jewish community.

So I would bet money that Kyrie never plays another game for the Nets. No shot he actually admits fault and tries to educate himself. He will triple down and even retire to make himself a “martyr” before he admits to what a fool he’s been.
