We'd need to trade for him and same with Turner really if we were to do both as we would need their bird rights.

I would rather keep Westbrook and deal with his s*** than bet big on Kyrie.

Turner talking about being a Laker and understanding the pressure...

As the great Dwayne Johnson says, "Let's f***ing go!"

AD needs help. Currently I'm not sure what will be the bigger issue the shooting or the bigs. You have to hope...pray...expect we will raise our 3 point percentage to be better than 1 out of 4. But the bigs are trash right now. Jones can't wash the Kings stink off him and Thomas Bryant can't get on the floor with even more injuries. But AD is being asked to be one of the greatest defensive big men of all time this season and he's already dealing with a back injury that will bother him all year. He cannot sustain the ask. He will break down. Turner can lessen that burden AND help with the shooting some. And that's even if we don't get Rob's favorite player currently in the NBA -- Hield.

If you can get Turner for a Nunn, Bev, + 1 1st.... do that yesterday. Or the Russ deal, hopefully the Pacers will deal in current reality.

I'm curious to see which team will pick up Kyrie when this season is over.

well, nobody chased him when he asked out, and orlando and miami both have multiple young guards they're trying to develop while they lose.

he'd fit in pretty well from an off-court ideology standpoint in utah, though!

also, since we care a lot of this: he's played 70 games total in the past three seasons. i think the market will be very quiet for him. i still expect something to get sorted out with bkn, but he is nuts, so all bets are off.

No to anything involving Buddy Hield period. We can make a small trade for a guy like Seth Curry without giving up any FRP. Giving up one for Turner is already a risky proposition.

Turner took the bait. Such a small market noob. How much could the big market savvy press have him for lunch every single week hahaa

but yes, I HAVE to think that's a fine coming. You don't get to do that in the press. Not a good look.

This is from Marc Stein yesterday, guess we missed it

Stop being cheap, Lakers. It’s one more year after this one, he can be flipped again as an expiring.

They don’t want to surrender a FRP considering the huge incoming contract.

We have the Kardashians come in for the weiner-waving auditions.

I can not fault the FO for wanting to pass on Hayward's deal. History has shown the guy is not going to play out 2 seasons. His 5 year history says he will play in 55% of the games for 61.5 million. With Turner/Buddy we are only stuck with Hield's 19 million and have a full season (or whatever is left) to evaluate Turner's condition and how he melds with AD and decide on a suitable contract for him. Which may only be 20 mil per. Bigs are not the high-value target they once were for teams unless you are a freak Giannis/Embid/Joker/AD/Wembanyama.

I think 1 FRP is more than reasonable with that level of talent coming back. 2 picks, no, but 1 sure.

Pick up Nash as an assistant or even a shooting coach to help Handy. Can't beat a 40/50/90 guy, plus he's good with point guards and lawd knows, we got enough of those. Ex-Laker too so Jeanie will approve.

I'm fuzzy with the math here on a trade with Charlotte. Hayward and Rozier combine for over 51 million in salary this season, 54 million next season. Hayward is also an injury risk. If you make that deal we stll pay the luxury tax and can only sign vet mins this summer.
