Westbrook, 2027 1st for Rozier, Washington and Oubre is a nice assortment of players. If Hornets go in to tank mode, we might even be able t do this without the pick. Or at least, put some decent protection on the pick. Washington seems like a great fit, especially with Ham's willngness to start AD at center. As a stretch 4, Washington would it good there. I know Rozier's skillset and size is a major duplication problem with Bev,Nunn and Shroeder, but I still think we should do the deal. I dont love Oubbre, but he is awing and they are like gold.

I don't want to include a pick for that package, but I'll be more tempted the more I watch him play.

    Rob probably will, too. Lol.

I agree. Another thing, out of Rozier, Nunn, Beverly, and Shroeder, Rozier is the more proven and superior offensive player, who has the ability to be a 17-18 ppg third option to AD and Bron. Shroeder doesnt space the floor enough to be that guy. Nunn has potential to be that guy, but still has question marks. Beverly is a great defender and role player but not a third option scorer type. As mentioned, Rozier's deal is not that bad.

I'm open to look at anything.

Hell, I would look at Oubre, too.

if charlotte starts out bad, i could see them calling us about a reset. there are several possibilities there (gordon/rozier for russ and a guard, gordon/oubre for russ, etc.) as we discussed early in the summer. russ may also help sell tickets there, which is a constant issue for them.

Seen like 2-3 mins of Hayward highlights.

He can shoot. We're trying Swider and Ryan and Hayward (injuries or not) is an actual decent to good NBA player when healthy.

He'd slot in perfectly. Can probably slot him at 3 or 4 with any unit and wouldn't be an issue.

you're preaching to the choir. i really thought we were going to deal with them until the bridges thing happened, tbh. figured we could probably get out of it with pick swaps at a maximum, too, given how much salary we might take on in various deals.

That the ideal package from them but I think any deal with them would have to include Hayward, especially if we don't want to trade the picks. He's a bad contract for them.

Then again that bleeds into this weird cap space plan we have.

Does that make DJ the only old guy from last season's team currently employed?

    lol. that's hilarious

and yes, somehow DAJ is the only one employed when he was probably the worst of the bunch

    ellington
    ariza
    dwight
    rondo
    melo
    augustin
    bradley
    bazemore

    are all unemployed

along with DAJ, monk, THT, and stanley are the only other members of last year's team employed

i wonder if there's ever been a team with that many unsigned FAs the following season

we'll see, Mitchell was balling out towards end of the season, he for sure is better on Def than Haliburton, the shooting can/will improve

    I wanna be optimistic!

but things are not looking perfect.

Though, if you think about it, we could be front runners!!!

i think it's strange how much the forum turned after a bad preseason game, particularly given that the previous one was pretty good.

i shudder to think what this place is going to look like come say, november 2nd:

    upload_2022-10-13_16-31-8.png

a pretty good team should only win half of those, maybe less.

It was pretty surprising to see Russ appearing to check out or be miffed or unhappy already. Because that does nothing for our trade positions later unless a team is just desperate. Really had figured he would have to change and cooperate if he ever expects to get anything over vet minimum again.

It’s because we have Russ PTSD, and he reverted. That and the crazy 4 guard lineups from last year showed up again, it has people panicking that we’ll have a repeat. We won’t, it’ll be a better season if we’re healthy, but I do get why things turned. Can’t be going back to the things that obviously don’t work.

being optimistic on a player isnt same thing as a team, I think Sac will still suck but Mitchell will be good....I'm not optimistic for this Laker team because we've seen what happened in the last 2 yrs
