There are no Giannis, KD or Kawhi stoppers. KD was injured, but Giannis and Kawhi light us up during the chip season too. You aren't going to stop great players, sometimes you can't even limit them. It goes both ways tho, we have LeBron and AD, there aren't any LeBron or AD stoppers either.

master of locating the iso and leveraging his much more expensive roster!

and i agree that the clippers' health concerns are as or more serious than ours, yet everyone just ignores that for some reason. their whole hasn't been greater than the sum of their parts when they've been healthy, either. but on paper, they're the clear co-favorites with golden state based solely on talent, fit, and roster continuity.

and all that said, i just don't care about specific matchups like some do. sometimes it's a bad matchup. good chance you don't play that team in the playoffs, anyway.

finally, maybe because we have beverly, we'll beat the clippers a couple times on spite alone.

Kawhi and PG aren’t the explosive SFs that people remember them as. Not anymore. Kawhi is more of an iso player who uses his wing. While PG is a finesse player.

As for Durant and Giannis both of them are defended by relatively mobile PFs than SFs.

    So we’ll see.

You’re misunderstanding me. I’m not saying he will do a great job of it against them or even slow them down. His size and shape is the kind that has been more successful in contesting their shots in recent seasons.

Unless you expect 38 year old Lebron to defend them for 36 mins while running the offence? Or maybe you expect AD to run after them on the perimeter the whole time and take him away from the paint where he is elite?

    He'll get worked.

But PG and Kawhi work everybody else, too.

    Pretty simple.

Like you said, they work everyone. But we need multiple looks to throw at them. AD, Lebron, Brown, JTA, Gabriel etc.

We will struggle against any team that is strong in wings.
The thing is that teams loaded with wings are in the East. In the West only Clippers are. West is guard heavy with Curry-Klay, CP3-Booker, Morant, Murray, Luka, McCollum (and Ingram), Dame, Ant.

Interesting that we are built in a way that we get murdered by our 2 biggest rivals. But it's ok for the majority of the games in regular season and a playoff run, if we avoid the Clippers

I think he wants to test out these three guard line ups now.

Guess Pat Bev is our shooter?

Pat Bev is around 37-40%. Lonnie, Russ and AD have shot good to start pre season. I think they’re banking on good quality looks leading to better shooting.

I said in another thread I figure we’re going to see a three guard rotation:

    Russ / Schroeder
    Bev / Nunn
    Walker / Reaves / Brown
    Lebron / JTA / Gabriel
    AD / Bryant / Jones

Another wasted preseason. Started off promising tbh and then injuries and two failure games labeled as dress rehearsal happened
