    First game today!
I'm hyped! Curious to see this team. It will take time but I'll be happy if I see some good habits

I predict we shoot below 25% from 3 and media goes crazy with it

We shot 24.1% from 3. Although honestly that’s a legit concern with this roster, the shooting just isn’t there. Having Schröder, Walker, and Brown Jr makes us a better team for sure you’d think though, all out right now.

My positives watching last night were the effort and energy levels were much higher.

I thought Russ looked pretty good. He, LeBron, and AD seemed to play well off of each other which will also be important.

i'm not going to overreact on the shooting. we know it's not going to be a strength, but it won't be that bad always.

i actually don't think walker or brown are in the rotation right now, tbh. but having schroder would have helped because with both russ and lebron off the floor, we were rudderless in the first half on offense. from what i read, the second half was (obviously) much worse. schroder alone cuts down on a lot of that, imo.

The first 3 minutes were the best 3 minutes of effort in a Lakers basketball game that I've seen in a year.

My optimism is that we won’t be as bad as last year.

Theres some sort of system being implemented and for the time being, these guys are buying in. We’re super younger and much more athletic than last year, hopefully that means we’re entertaining to watch again.

Best case scenario this team wins the play in tournament but I’ll probably catch more games this season than last.

    Lebron is 40.

Even during his amazing offensive run last season his age started to show. We did almost nothing to lighten his workload, especially defensively.

If this was Cavs Lebron Part2 I would be blindly confident as you but he’s not. He’s only able to show flashes of it now instead of the entire game.

Are you saying 40 for effect? Maybe am missing the tone. He’s 37 until Dec 30.

Wut? Dude’s 37 for 3 more months and multiple people are calling him 40. Granted …. a ton of miles on that almost 38.

For affect. Dude has a ton of extra mileage on his body. And really, besides the bubble season, he hasn’t had a healthy year here.

not derail all threads, but this is why i don't give up 2 picks in an indy deal. we're not that close because lebron isn't lebron anymore. but he's still paid like lebron.

my optimism: i think lebron and the FO have an understanding about all this. much like when kobe took his last big payday, he knew it was coming at the expense of competing at the highest level. as of now, i'm confident we're not about to pull the next mozdeng that bombs us into the stone age again.

There was some amazing basketball being played in the bubble.
I hope Ludabrow gets back to balling like he did back then in the bubble. He was on another level.

The young stud was supposed to be carrying the load by now. I said that he wasn't going to be the dude from Cleveland when we signed him. However let's be real, avg 30 pts a game in the NBA isn't some easy feat.. Not just any old player, All Star players included, can just go out and do it because they wanted to. So on the subject of this large decline, I disagree. The stamina is where I see the difference more than anything. I'm not worried about Lebron, or Russ either, it's AD that makes me nervous.

Most definitely . He was shredding Phoenix hobbling around on one leg too. The talent is enormous.
