This does not surprise me at all that we are not on that list. I mean lets face it, JC's game is in the mold of players that do not fit with us (see:WB/THT).

I don't buy that Jazz Notes account, apparently they've called a bunch of Jazz-related s*** incorrectly just this offseason. I do think there will be a push on our end to get a trade done before LeBron has his mini camp and it sounds like that is happening soon.

Damn, I was hoping for the conspiracy theory that they were holding off on formally introducing Beverley because they were close to a trade and figured might as well just introduce all the new acquisitions together.

Waiting for a trade to happen soon. WB/Nunn/2027 1st/2029 pick swap to Utah for Conley/Bojan/Beasley.

Ugh. We need to do something else soon. Time's ticking away. I mean, no we don't give up two FRP's to Utah. But if we can do it for one we need to pull the trigger. We shall see. The current roster won't get it done as constructed.

I couldn’t agree more. I think Rob’s unreasonable love for a basic player has rubbed off on many fans. Oh well, I’m actually glad that Indy is being stupid with their demands because I’m not that high on Turner either.

Again, Beasley could be traded effective today.

Hield has his flaws, but I think a lot of you are cherry-picking that 36% from 3 last season and blowing it out of proportion.

That 36% came on high volume. He was making over three 3PT a game (would have been the highest on our team last season). That’s not bad. That still spaces the floor significantly.

Also let’s not ignore the factor that pure shooters often fit like a glove next to Lebron. They space the floor to give him more room to operate, his gravity gets them more open looks.

Hield also averaged a career high 4.8 APG in his stint with Indiana. That may not look that impressive, but I’d argue that it is actually pretty good for a SG who generally isn’t a primary ball handler. And this wasn’t a case of him getting assists because nobody else on the team was, Haliburton was also averaging 10 APG. Cranjis was discussing with a Pacers podcast host who described Hield’s playmaking as a legitimate positive.

An elite shooter who also knows how to move the ball well as a secondary playmaker would do wonders for our offense.

I don’t get the negativity around Bogdanovic. I keep reading people all over say he’s 35. He’s not, he’s 33, he played 69 games last year, 72 the year before, he averaged 18ppg and shot almost 39% from 3 last season. He alone would be a fantastic swap out for Russ.

You'd rather spend half the year at least repeating the Westbrook experiment? I would not.

Am sure Russ will be at the presser. :D That would be quite a surprise if he was though wouldn't it.

:D Well, true, but I’m definitely for trading for him if the price is fair. We’d finally have our ic. Our last ones were a space cadet and a practice shooting champion. But since then, no ic for us, and I think an ic might finally break the shooting curse, I’ve wanted one for years, either this Bogdanovic or Bogdan in Atlanta.

I have the same sentiment of these two posts. I prefer a Hield/Turner trade over a Conley/Bogdanovic/Whoever else trade.

Turner and AD protecting the rim would be amazing, and Hield might be sneaky good getting open looks from Lebron/AD. I didn’t realize this until recently, but Hield played pretty well for the Pacers after he got traded. He was averaging close to 5assists per game.

Both Turner and Hield are younger than the Jazz package too, which is the ultimate downside risk for the Lakers. We are bringing back a 34 year old Conley and a 33 year old Bogdanovic, the concern would be a repeat of the “old” Lakers team from last season where we had the oldest team in the league. Both Bogdanovic and Conley would be great fits alongside AD/Lebron in their prime… the bet is if they have enough in the tank for the next 2 seasons
