    Very good reason. Or have Spike Lee always pitching some "feel good, kid from da hood makes it in the NBA comes back home and buys his old school new basketball courts and new sneakers for everybody" film to you

    LOL! I guess you’ve bought into the gender fluidity insanity that is currently plaguing this nation.

    Agreed. To paraphrase the great Walter Sobchak, "look at this this way, Dude, who's got two f*****g First Round Picks in their trunk?"

    agree with smooth here--feel like ainge actually kinda played himself. he waited and offers got worse, and once mitchell was on the table, he had to move. this is my point about the teams holding us at gunpoint re: russ, too. i bet at least one of them will look back and be like: we could have nabbed a 1st and saved some future cash, but we were greedy.

    if turner has another foot injury, indy loses him for nothing and has to keep paying hield another year to not do anything for them.

    whatever. i will say i don't need any more evidence to claim that the laker tax is real, though. any other team could have moved russ for less than two unprotected picks, no problem.

    You guys are probably right, in fact I’m seeing the same sentiments all over Twitter, I guess I just like Sexton more than Barrett personally is all. This stuff came up on my feed, guess he’s a jazz writer

    Okay lets see who Utah has.
    Bojan, Conley, JC, Beasley and Gay.

    I think a combination of Bojan, Conley and Gay is obtainable without giving up too much draft compensation because of their age and Conley’s second year.

    JC and Beasley are younger and can probably net a first round pick each if dealt separately. Maybe not right now but probably at the deadline when playoff bound teams are making roster adjustments. Those two are instant offense off the bench after all.

    Bradley Beal and Ben Simmons or Kyrie will probably be on the trading block by December. John Collins and Turner too if he's not injured.

    No doubt. Bojan and Beasley are both elite three-point shooters. Look at some of the rotation players the bubble championship roster:

    Avery Bradley-elite defensive PG/decent shooter
    KCP-excellent corner shooter/plus defender
    Green-excellent corner shooter/plus defender
    Kuzma-excellent corner shooter/versatile defender/big wing
    Caruso-elite defender/decent shooter
    McGee/Howard-rim running bigs
    Gasol-stretch big

    Who did we have last season?

    Westbrook-minus defender/bad shooter
    THT-average defender at best/bad shooter
    Stanley-plus defender/bad shooter
    Monk-good corner shooter/minus defender
    Reaves-plus defender/bad shooter

    I forgot who else we had.

    We could somewhat resemble that roster when you think about it (mostly in terms of shooting). We may need more D than just Beverly though. Reddish would be good.

    Beverly = Bradley
    Beasley = KCP
    Green = Brown ? Brown not as good. Reddish would be good here.
    Kuzma = Bojan
    Caruso = Reaves
    McGee/Howard = Jones
    Gasol = Bryant/Huff

    I would still like to get Reddish.

    Our defense is significantly worse than that bubble team. If we could at least shoot better, I guess that would be good.

    I’m so tired of this s***. Don’t trade him then, I’m fine not watching for a season or tuning in for some comedy now and then if it means we keep those picks for a better deal or to actually improve in those years post-LeBron. I’m not trading those to get off a colossal mistake in trading for Russ just to be a play-in team.

    He’ll go there for next to nothing and rumors will come out that we offered a first round pick but Utah wanted both…

    Bradley never made it to the bubble. Green was a disappointment and Gasol was never on that team. Kudos for the effort though.

    I''m not a huge fan of any of them, but I think a lot of us (and front office) underestimated the value that they provided. Especially in the case of KCP and Caruso. I mean, KCP was doing great as the starting PG on our team. Heck, we won the ring. But everyone kept calling for the Lakers to upgrade the PG position. And we know what happened with the rest. At least Beverly is an "off ball" PG. Not as big as KCP though.
