does it matter? jaylen brown seems confused/annoyed by it. the only way to get ahead of it now is to deny the offer happened. are they in position to do that? if they deny the offer happened and then deal brown for durant, what does that do for fan and player/agent relations?

wonder which side the source was from here.

in fairness, brown is an allstar in his prime who plays both ends and is a good guy by all accounts. that's a valuable piece.

but if all that comes with him is white and a couple picks, it is a bit weird.

but yeah, no one will care because it's not us.

Not my point with respect to Jaylen or his feelings.

Was speaking generally with respect to the offers that we have seen in the KD trade request. Wondering if this is BK,s way of upping the offers from other teams.

Windy saying they aren't active right now in any trade discussions. Hmmmm

I'd guess Marks trying to see if he can get more offers.

Was just typing similar. I definitely think Brooklyn trying to get more offers.

I think Brooklyn is leaking too much though and the constant attempts to manipulate teams through the media is going to leave a sour taste with those franchises. This clearly creates friction between boston and Brown.

Or was there a push from KD's camp this weekend for BK to get something done?

    Interesting timing.

That's a possibility too. I'm sure their patience is starting to wear down.

Still wouldn't mind a disgruntled Jaylen showing up to camp and a Boston C Bags implosion.

    Shrugs.

Just get this s*** done so we can go on with our lives. You aren't getting equal value for Durant no matter what you say. You didn't even spend any capital in him anyways, he signed as a free agent. Just hurry up so we can start talking about the season.

this was my point and why i was speculating on the source of the leak. as others said, this should piss boston off, as it's clearly creating problems for them. so i doubt they're the source. which means bkn or kd's agent, right? but who is it meant to put pressure on? i could see different arguments here.

i think both this and mitchell dragging out isn't great for the league, and my guess is silver will be on the phone with some of the parties soon.

I'm reaching, but I'm bored. When did the Brogdon deal happen. That was like a few weeks ago, right?

I'm wondering if the KD trade proposal came first and Boston thinking they can do two things A.) Throw an offer in (low ball BK essentially or maybe they thought was a fair deal) and B.) Thinking they needed to do something to get them over the hump against GS i.e. partnering Tatum and KD together.

Reason I bring up Brogdon is getting him for essentially salary filler and a First out you as favorite in the East, IMO. At the very least, one of them. In essence, I'm wondering if Brogdon changed Boston Management's thinking in potentially going after KD, and I'm also asking why would you take apart such a great team especially one that just swept a KD/Irving led BK squad?

    Yes, I'm bored.

It's great for the league. Attention Attention Attention. In a time where they usually dominate, it's been crickets for the first time in years.

Someone needed to light a fire in these front offices. Likely agents leaked to get Marks and everyone to hurry the f*** up. This is starting to get stupid.
